Diversified is seeking an Order Selector/Sit down forklift operator a residential doors distribution company in Lancaster, Tx.
Job Summary
Accurately picks, prepares, and stages door products for shipment based on customer orders. Key duties include operating forklifts/pallet jacks to move heavy materials, verifying product codes, building pallets, shrink-wrapping, and loading trucks while maintaining inventory accuracy and following safety protocols.
Schedule: 6:00am-3pm or til finish Monday- Friday
Pay $18/hr
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking: Accurately pull residential door products (interior/exterior slabs, pre-hung units) from racks or storage areas using pick tickets or scanning systems.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to navigate the warehouse and move heavy, bulky items.
Staging and Shipping: Assemble customer orders, ensure accuracy in quantity and quality, shrink-wrap pallets, and stage them on the loading dock for shipment.
Inventory Control: Update inventory records to reflect pulled items, reporting shortages or damaged stock.
Safety and Maintenance: Adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standards, including pre-shift equipment inspections.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous warehouse experience preferred, particularly in high-volume, heavy manufacturing or distribution environments.
Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy materials frequently (often up to 50–100 lbs) and work on feet for long shifts.
Skills: Strong attention to detail to avoid shipping wrong door sizes or types, proficiency with scanners, and forklift certification.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of sit down forklift experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict productivity quotas
