Diversified Electrical Technologies (DET) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for planning, execution, financial performance, and customer satisfaction across multiple projects.
We are looking for a results-driven leader who can manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field coordination—while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager at DET, you will:
Manage all aspects of electrical construction projects including budget, schedule, labor, materials, and quality controlEnsure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to contract specificationsLead job setup, including labor planning, material budgets, and cash flow forecastingCoordinate closely with Field Supervisors, Project Coordinators, Estimators, and subcontractorsComplete submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentationConduct jobsite visits to direct work, monitor progress, safety, and qualityMaintain accurate job costing and financial trackingApproving purchases, invoices, and subcontractor workLead project meetings, including kickoff, coordination, and closeoutBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and general contractorsIdentify and secure additional work opportunities and change ordersWhat We’re Looking For
Experience:
Minimum 7+ years in the electrical contracting industryExperience with managing commercial/industrial projectsEducation (Preferred):
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related fieldEquivalent field experience will be consideredCertifications:
Valid driver’s license (required)Electrical license (preferred)Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and NEC codeProven ability to manage people, schedules, and budgets effectivelyExcellent communication skills with teams, customers, and vendorsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsProficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Foundation)Work Environment
Combination of office and active job-site environmentsRegular travel to project sites with some overnight travel requiredExposure to varying weather conditions and construction site elementsPhysical activity required, including lifting to 50 lbs. and navigating job site conditionsWhat Success Looks Like
