How You'll Contribute: A Project Manager (PM) isresponsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from Initiating through Closing phases for media and entertainment organizations, as well as corporate entities. However, the PM depends on the help of other people to perform most of the actual activities of the project. A project manager's role is primarily focused around written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders. The PM isresponsible for overseeing, and performing project management functions on all projects, budgets and scopes.The PM will act as the responsible person on their assigned projects and have direct control over all project activities. The Project Manager may also mentor other Project Managers with the company. The PM will generally be assigned to large, complex and sensitive projects. This position will be providing direction to a wide range of internal and external personnel. Location: The Greater Toronto area. What You'll Do: Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for technicians, managing deliverables from engineering, CAD and Programming and overseeing the completion of projects. The PM isresponsible for completing systems integration projects on time, on budget and achieving high customer satisfaction from our customers.The majority of this employee's time will be spent managing projects andcommunicating with all project stakeholders. This person will be held accountable for following and helping to improve the established Diversified processes. As the primary interface to the client, the project manager develops a strong long-term relationship. Managing the client relationship, including expectations, communications and satisfaction. Coordinates and communicates: Provides clear leadership and ownership for the project within Diversified, including accurate and timely verbal and written communication and follow up. Coordinates all activities associated with the timely, accurate and on-budget completion of the project, including engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities clearly and running client and internal project meetings. Provides support and assistance to team members as needed in order help them be successful and get the job done. Ensures appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders. Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams with regard to installation projects Assumes ownership of individual projects and assignments Establishes and maintains communication with Account Executives, Directors, engineers, installation technicians, subcontractors, clients, etc. Develops and communicates project updates as required. How You'll Contribute: The installation technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients buildings. The install tech needs to coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects. They interpret our drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. This installation can include displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, etc. Will also provide advice and guidance to Associate Installation Technicians as necessary. Location: Must live in the Washington DC - VA area. What You'll Do: Perform structured cabling installation: pull, terminate, label, and dress cables per project documentation and standards. Complete physical installation and wiring of AV devices (displays, speakers, microphones, cameras, control interfaces, etc.). Assemble, populate, and dress equipment racks with a high degree of workmanship and adherence to design documents. Solder and terminate connectors according to project specifications and accepted industry practices. Execute light physical construction tasks as required (e.g., blocking, mounting surfaces, hardware installation). Follow Diversified's installation procedures, quality guidelines, and safety protocols with minimal deviation. Maintain accurate daily records: timesheets, daily field reports, checklists, and as-built documentation. Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Lead Technicians to ensure project milestones are met. Represent Diversified professionally on active job sites, including client and construction environments. Actively participate in ongoing training and skill development toward advancing technical proficiency. Complexity: This level of technician will be responsible for performing tasks on clients job sites with little supervision. On smaller projects this position may be responsible for the coordination with clients, contractors and subcontractors. Decision Making Authority: This position is often alone on the job sites and requires making good judgement about decisions that need to be made. In general the project manager and a site supervisor are available to answer questions. This position requires good diplomacy in working with our clients and other key stakeholders on the job sites. Physical Working Environment: Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee may be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 60% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The employee must have the ability to occasionally climb ladders, use stairs and lift and/or move materials up to 40 pounds in construction areas. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision. When not on construction sites, the employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc. Travel: Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. Local travel to job sites (within a 2 hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times. 10% remote travel is required on a regular basis. What part will you play? The Senior ESS Field Support Technician provides technical and operational support of Electronic Security (ESS) equipment and systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion detection systems) located within the following types of environments: Business/corporate offices, warehouses/ distribution centers, data centers, as well as construction sites. This position will also serve as the on-site liaison between the client, Diversified, and the other members of the on-site team. Exercising advanced technical skill level abilities to perform routine maintenance of advanced ESS related systems - including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and break/fix repair of faulty systems and equipment. Act as the liaison between the on-site team and Diversified Service management. Oversight for planning and implementation of process improvement principles required to maintain ESS technologies in critical areas. Oversee repair and service of all equipment while planning and implementing improvements. Act as the technical escalation point for all ESS equipment and related issues. How You'll Contribute: As a Senior Project Manager in Electronic Security Systems (ESS), you oversee all aspects of project execution-including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction-across the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure. You are accountable for the successful delivery of large-scale, complex ESS projects, requiring effective delegation, diligent follow-through, and assurance of key deliverables. Your role centers on harnessing subject matter expertise, driving decision-making, and aligning cross-functional teams, all while maintaining clear and impactful communication with stakeholders and executive leadership. The Sr PM is responsible for overseeing and performing project management functions with respect to cost, quality and schedule. The Sr PM will act as the person responsible on their assigned projects and have direct control over all project management activities. This position provides oversight and direction to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. As a primary interface to the client, the Sr. Project Manager develops a strong long-term relationship - managing the client relationship, including expectations, communications and satisfaction. What You'll Do: Daily activities include: Leads the delivery of physical security systems by managing implementation, coordinating teams, and ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Demonstrates expertise in the delivery and integration of physical security technologies, including closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, electronic access control systems, intrusion detection alarms, and perimeter security solutions. Must possess a strong understanding of general construction sequencing and its impact on project scheduling, risk mitigation, and potential delays. Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and quantifying construction-related risks, and communicating those risks clearly and effectively to the stakeholders in written form to support proactive planning and resolution. Collaborates in design reviews to support accurate and comprehensive field documentation across project teams. Demonstrated proficiency in developing schedules, establishing project baselines, and identifying, qualifying, and quantifying deviations, with clear communication of impacts to the client. Responsible for coordinating field verification of prospective work sites, ensuring compliance with quality control requirements, confirming readiness, and documenting site conditions. Demonstrates a strong ability to monitor and control the financial health of projects, including tracking budgets, costs, and margins. Proactively identifies financial risks and implements corrective actions to prevent margin erosion, ensuring profitability and alignment with financial targets. Proactively identifies potential customer concerns and addresses them before they escalate into issues. Delivers thoughtful, comprehensive solutions to both clients and internal stakeholders, fostering trust and ensuring a smooth project experience. Provides flexible, on-demand support to team members, proactively assisting with tasks, problem-solving, and resource coordination to help ensure project success and team efficiency. Demonstrates a collaborative mindset and a willingness to step in wherever needed to keep work progressing and goals on track. Partners with the site supervisor to establish and drive the project's work plan and schedule, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines. Coordinates stakeholder activities to enable system programming and final checkout of systems. Requires proven experience in coordinating all critical activities involved in the successful commissioning of security systems, including planning, execution, testing, and documentation. The candidate must ensure systems are fully operational, meet design specifications, and are ready for client handover. Works closely with the site supervisor, general contractor, and end user to develop and manage a comprehensive punch list of outstanding tasks following substantial completion. Ensures timely resolution of remaining items to support project closeout and client satisfaction. Facilitates project turnover and training sessions with clients, and service team. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee may be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis. Employees will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The environment may include hospital and medical facilities. The employee can typically spend at least 40% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The employee must have the ability to occasionally climb ladders, use stairs and lift and/or move materials up to 20 pounds in construction areas. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision. When not on construction sites, the employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc. Travel: Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employees must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. This will be evaluated based on strength of the candidate.
