JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE SUPPORT TECH/HANDYMAN
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide excellent customer service to tenants, vendors, and visitorsInstallation of tile and laminate flooringBasic cabinetry skills needed to install and/or repair kitchen bathroom cabinetsResponsible for the day-to-day maintenance of facilities and groundsAssist maintenance mechanic to turnover empty units, including installation of sheet rock, taping, sanding, painting, fixing doors, windows, and light fixtureRespond to maintenance requests and repairs by tenantsAddress maintenance work order(s) in Buildium software to include photos of finished workKeep the grounds clean and free of debris and trashReport all issues or concerns to the Property Manager and/or Program ManagerOther duties as may be assigned by the Program Manager or designeeNECESSARY SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and execute tasksFamiliar with city and federal safety inspectionsProficient in using computer and data software programsMust be culturally competent and sensitive towards diverse and ethnic groupsQUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma, GED, or Technical school graduate required
Completion of an approved / accredited technical training in the various trades (plumbing, electric, carpentry and air conditioning, etc.) (Preferred)Apartment maintenance experience a plusValid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and required use of personal vehicle available to travel to propertiesLift minimum of 50 lbs., climb ladders, and be able to stand for an 8-hour shiftMust be available evenings, weekends, holidays for on-call emergencies1-2 years’ experience providing quality and efficient maintenance services for multiunit propertiesDIGNITY HOUSING IS AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
