Requires knowledge of the following or similar: Processing Machinery: Injection Molding, Blow molding, Chemical Batch, Extruding, Drawing, etc. Robots: pick and place, welding, post molding, palletizing, de-palletizing, wrapping, packaging, etc. Peripheral equipment, controls (PLCs, PACs, PC, HMIs), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), etc. Components: Machine vision, sensors, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, gears, bearings, servos, motors and motor drives, power supplies, etc. Conveyors: power roller, belt, gravity, flexible or portable, pallet handling, etc. Sorters: cross belt, slide, e-sorters, singulators, merges, etc. Must be able to read, interpret, and use electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic drawings and schematics. Requires understanding of electrical power distribution, machine control, and electro-mechanical components of conveyors and sorters. Shall act as primary point of contact for customer representatives during service calls, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and overhaul projects for conveying and sorting material handling systems.
