Job description:
We’re looking for a hands-on Crate Builder / Packer to join our 1st OR 2nd shift operations team. This role is responsible for building custom wooden crates and safely packing materials using detailed plans, tools, and established procedures. If you enjoy working with your hands, following build plans, and being part of a fast-paced production environment, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
1st shift: 7am - 3pm OR 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pmBuild wooden crates using production plans and crate-building softwarePack and secure materials using foam, bracing, strapping, and other protective materialsMeasure and prepare materials to ensure safe and accurate packagingUse hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipmentComplete required paperwork and production documentationPerform basic equipment checks and minor maintenanceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaAssist with training new team members as neededFollow all safety guidelines and wear required PPEWhat We’re Looking For
Experience using hand and power toolsWoodworking or crate-building experience preferredAbility to read measurements and perform basic mathComfortable standing and working on concrete floors for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyStrong attention to detail and ability to follow proceduresMust understand and speak EnglishForklift or industrial equipment experience is a plusEducation & Experience
High school diploma or GED preferredExperience in a similar role is a plus, but not requiredWork Environment
