Position Summary:
The Portfolio Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of the sustaining and new development projects for the Det-Tronics transmitters and toxic gas detector product group and its roadmap. The role requires developing and maintaining detailed cross-functional resource and project plans, leading the teams in the execution of their project deliverables in accordance with company development procedures, and navigating project and technical challenges to remain on-time and on-budget.

About the RoleDet-Tronics is seeking a Lead Customer Service Account Specialist to provide leadership and direction to our global customer service team. Under the guidance of the Global Customer Service Manager, this role is pivotal in exceeding customer expectations, driving process improvements, and enhancing team efficiency. The position involves managing the commercial aspects of both domestic and international orders, including standard products and highly customized projects. This role requires close collaboration with customers and the sales team to resolve order-related issues effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership- Manage all sales order processing from receipt to invoicing and reporting.
- Provide support and direction to the global customer service team in the absence of the Customer Service Manager.
- Support Sales Support and Inside Sales as needed.
- Identify and prioritize service, process, and procedural improvements.
- Ensure timely maintenance of sales and orders mailboxes.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all pending and open orders within the assigned territory.
- Align material availability with customer requests and communicate deviations and resolutions.
- Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to adjust order priorities without disrupting workflow.
- Proactively communicate with customers to expedite shipments when possible.
- Communicate professionally and regularly with all customers.
- Build strong relationships with primary customer contacts.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely execution of custom orders.
- Foster a team environment with assigned Regional Sales Managers.
- Utilize reports to understand and grow regional sales.
- Review order status to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Maintain accurate customer account data across all business systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate order entry.
- Identify product issues and communicate resolution timelines to customers.
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions for each customer account.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3+ years of customer service experience.
- 1+ year of experience supporting account managers, sales managers, or sales representatives.
- 1+ year of leadership experience.
- 1+ year of experience in a global role.
- Strong computer, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and multitasking skills.
- Strong voice and focus on high-pressure situations with consistent process adherence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Open mindset for continuous improvement.
- Ability to perform under stress, work cooperatively with others, and work overtime or weekends when necessary.
