    Job Description
    Destinationone Consulting is proud to partner with a leading construction firm in the search for an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on K-12 school construction projects in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Our client is seeking a seasoned construction professional with proven experience delivering new school construction, school expansions, and maintenance/upgrade projects within active educational environments. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with minimal disruption to ongoing school operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and direct all job site activities from project start through completionOversee new school construction, additions, and renovation/maintenance projectsCoordinate work in active school environments, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to staff and studentsOversee self-perform labor crews and subcontractors to ensure successful project executionCommunicate daily with foremen and trades to ensure productivity targets are metEnsure all project goals are achieved in accordance with specifications, timelines, and budgetsLead weekly subcontractor meetings to review schedule performance, safety compliance, and quality controlMonitor RFI status, delays, and scope changesCoordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate drawings and deliverablesCollaborate closely with the Project Manager and project team on all issues, risks, and changesSupport project closeout processes, including meetings approximately 30 days prior to completionRepresent the client professionally in communications with owners, consultants, and healthcare stakeholdersDevelop and implement strategies to deliver projects on or ahead of schedule and within budgetTrack and manage productivity of self-performed workPerform other duties as required
    Supervision

    Supervise up to 300 employees and subcontractors combined, depending on project scope
    Requirements
    Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General ContractorDirect experience delivering K-12 school projects, including:New school constructionSchool additions and expansionsRenovations, upgrades, and maintenance projectsExperience working with school districts or public-sector education clients is strongly preferredProven ability to manage projects in occupied/active school environmentsDiverse project experience including education, municipal, and institutional constructionExperience with CMAR delivery method preferred
    Strong background in:

    Constructability reviewsSite logistics planning (especially in constrained/active campuses)Subcontractor coordinationPreconstruction scope reviewProven ability to build, manage, and update project schedulesExperience with Procore, e-Builder, P6, or similar construction management softwareKnowledge of:Self-perform concrete workMEPF systems and underground utilitiesLow-voltage systems (telecommunications, security, AV, fire alarm, EMS, etc.)
    Work Environment
    Role is based on active construction sites in Las Vegas, NV, often within operational school campuses, requiring strict adherence to safety, scheduling, and coordination protocols
