Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Dermatology Medical Scribe with phlebotomy experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced dermatology setting while supporting providers and enhancing patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Scribing:
Accurately document patient encounters in real-time within Nextech our electronic medical record (EMR)Record patient history, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plansAssist providers with chart completion to ensure timely and compliant documentationMaintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA complianceClinical Support:
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during dermatologic proceduresPerform phlebotomy (venipuncture, specimen collection)Ensure proper handling and documentation of lab specimensAssist provider with various proceduresQualifications
Previous experience as a medical scribe (preferred, dermatology experience a plus)Phlebotomy certification or proven experience requiredStrong understanding of medical terminologyExcellent typing and documentation skillsAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentProfessional demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to patient care and confidentialityPreferred Qualifications
