    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

    Delta Utilities is seeking a C&M Technician to perform company field operations including

    manual labor and other duties necessary to accomplish the installation, repair,

    construction and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Installs, repairs or replaces steel and plastic pipe.

    • Provides First Responder assistance in emergency situations.

    • Locates gas lines.

    • Loads and unloads required equipment, tools, and supplies onto and from truck.

    • (C&M Tech I) Transports required equipment, tools, and supplies to work sites.

    • (C&M Tech II) Trains and coaches less experienced members of the crew.

    • (C&M Tech III) Assists with or leads work on site.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum education required of the position

    • Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent knowledge of English,

    mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and

    percentages), punctuation, grammar and spelling.

    Minimum experience required of the position

    • C&M Tech I: Requires no prior work experience.

    • C&M Tech II: Requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in construction,

    installation and maintenance of gas distribution systems, including a commercial

    driver’s license and company welding certifications.

    • C&M Tech III: Requires a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in construction,

    installation and maintenance of gas distribution systems, including two years'

    experience welding (steel) pipe. Requires a commercial driver’s license and

    company welding certification.

    Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

    • Able to apply knowledge of industry and company safety standards and regulations.

    • Able to provide a valid state driver's license and present and maintain a good driving

    record and to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable

    laws and company policies.

    • Able to use the proper tools for any given job.

    • Able to assist with Plugging and Tapping procedures.

    • Able to assist in preparation of pipe for welding.

    • Able to learn and operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, trencher and a two

    ton or larger truck.

    • Able to learn and perform gas meter resets and relights.

    • Able to learn and utilize company’s mapping system.

    • Able to learn and complete paperwork as required.

    • Able to demonstrate an aptitude for basic mechanical tasks.

    • Able to respond well to changing priorities.

    • Able to solve problems with logical solutions.

    • Able to demonstrate and utilize effective oral and written communications skills.

    • Able to learn and use a Personal Computer, SAP and Mobile Data.

    contractors and vendors.

    • Have and maintain a current/valid driver's license.

    • Class D with Class A CDL preferred driver’s license or with the expectation of

    • Able to obtain company plastic welding certification within 12 months and company

    Arc or Oxygen-Acetylene welding certification within 24 months.

    • Able to demonstrate and maintain company plastic welding certification and

    company Arc or Oxygen-Acetylene welding certifications.

    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

    The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and related transactions. This position ensures compliance with company policies and procedures while supporting the financial operations of Delta Utilities. The Accounts Payable Clerk maintains strong vendor relationships, assists with resolving discrepancies, and collaborates with both internal departments and external stakeholders.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Process non-po invoices, PO invoices using an automated three/two-way match process, ensuring proper GL coding, and approval.

    • Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software (i.e. Oracle, etc.) including invoices, payments, and other financial documents.

    • Identify, analyze, and communicate discrepancies with vendor invoice variances and resolve.

    • Assist with vendor set-up and obtain all documents from vendors and banks reconcile vendor statements promptly.

    • Manage vendor database and respond to vendor inquiries.

    • Maintain accurate vendor records.

    • Prepare and schedule payments to vendors ensuring accurate disbursements.

    • Participate in UATs (User Acceptance Testing) for new system and system enhancements.

    • Collaborate with AP leadership to resolve transactions, monitor aged invoices, and support day-to-day activities.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with drafting procedures.

    • Assist with maintenance of general ledger.

    • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including filing and retrieving documents as needed.

    • Assist with accounting tasks as needed, such as preparing reports, assisting with audit requests, and providing support to other departments.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum education required of the position

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.

    Minimum experience required of the position

    2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, with experience in a large company a plus.

    Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

    Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Hands on experience with ERP system, preferably Oracle.

    Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

    Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

    Strong analytic abilities, detailed-oriented, and a strong communicator.
