    Job Description:

    ·        Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements while sustaining a high level of quality to ensure customers receive correct product and in the time requested.

     

    ·        Receive materials and/or finished goods on a daily basis. Verify the quality, type and number of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).

     

    ·        Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature (59–86 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and/or freezer-room (minus 4 – 23 degrees F).

     

    Experience:

    ·        Requires a minimum of 0-2 years related experience. Some experience in logistics with a life science company preferred. The proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet schedules required. Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and with the ability to operate the equipment at various heights.     Minimum Qualifications

    What will your typical day look like?
    • Responsible for inventory management and inventory control metrics in a 24/7 shop environment which includes, but is not limited to:
    • Pulling material from warehouse for shop use and ensuring material is issued to correct locomotive with all necessary information: position, serial number, removal reason, service sheet.
    • Weekly managing stockouts, including obtaining updated estimated times of arrival for completely stocked out parts or parts low on stock.
    • Daily performing cycle counts to find and correct inconsistencies in inventory on hands.
    • Forecasting material needs for inbound and in-shop locomotives and pulling in any needed material in the timeliest and cost efficient manner.
    • Performing quality control processes on inbound and outbound shipments to meet company standards including checking shipment documents for discrepancies and resolving potential transportation delays or conflicts.
    • Arranging LTL and Expedite shipments using the Ryder portal as well as ensuring correct paperwork is attached to all shipments and correct BOLs are used for proper billing. Ensuring customs documents are requested and obtained prior to shipping when needed.
    • Effectively using multiple software programs to order, receive, ship, and track material to and from the warehouse. Including Hazmat material with appropriate shipping documents.
    • Reading mechanical drawings to determine needed material.
    • Forklift Operation including daily shift inspections.
    • Compiling reports on various inventory metrics.
    • Processing sales of material
    • Retrieving repair cycle assets from shop floor, including timely and appropriate processing of assets in Oracle to ensure material is repaired and returned to stock quickly.
    • Restocking warehouse and shop floor material.
    • Performing general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the warehouse.
    • Processing warranty claims on any removed core that is warranty eligible.
    • Performing daily counts of large commodity assets including verification of serial number and size for both FGI and repair cycle assets.
    • Daily answer requests from Circle of Service shops requesting additional material for locomotives, ensuring the correct parts are requested, workorders are open, material is transacted correctly in Oracle, and appropriate shipping is arranged.
    • Wearing of the proper safety equipment is a must.
    • Recording of materials transactions such as receiving, distribution and Usage via appropriate system transaction or computer program.
    • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
    • Assist/lead with the coordination of physical inventory counting.
    • All other job duties as assigned and required

    Job Responsibilities

    The Foam Operator – Performs the function of machine operator as part of the door manufacturing

    process. Additionally, this role is responsible for daily reporting of production and scrap, routine tracking of

    machine and foam specifications, chemical calibrations and routine equipment maintenance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·       Performs the function of operating the automate Seimpelkamp foam system on the manufacturing line.

    ·       Accurately completes daily production and scrap reporting.

    ·       Completes daily checklists, recording information such as temperature settings and foam density checks, to ensure identification of issues that may prevent maximum machine productivity and product quality expectations.

    ·       Performs calibration of the chemicals used within the process.

    ·       Completes routine maintenance of equipment.

    ·       Coordinates the work of associates performing operations that follow the foaming process.

    ·       Able to do basic functions on a computer.

    ·       Communicates with the line leader performance to schedule, quality performance and any barriers to production or quality performance.

    Description:

     

    A manufacturing/ production operator contributes to the success of setting up and operating assigned machines and statistical scales to pack the optimum number of quality packages of product. You can expect to be working on your feet the entirety of your shift near heavy machinery in a loud manufacturing environment. Manufacturing facilities are also large. While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature is limited. Indoor warehouse working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather.

    Responsibilities:
    Operates and monitors machinery used in the production process
    Assist in set-up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate code dates, weights, and that products are put into appropriate bags.
    Participate in periodical activities such assisting with the cycle counts and physical inventories
    Check that products are dated and sealed with a minimum amount of wasted product and supplies.
    Ensure that products to be packed remain clean.
    Maintain a clean and safe work area. Safety is everyone's job.
    Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines such as cleaning or switching out knives and blades, pull-belts, tape machines, or rollers, depending on the need.
    Wear protective gear during changeovers from one product to another.

    Performs duties and responsibilities within the guidelines of plant’s programs and initiatives
    Performs autonomous maintenance activities such as preventative maintenance, lubrication, center lining, 5s and defect identification, sources of contamination, etc.
    Inspect conveyors and scales prior to line start-ups & changeovers.
    Troubleshoot commonplace problems and make operational adjustments.

    Packaging Machine Operators work with a large array of produce in their product, which means you should consider the potential allergens we work with: dairy, wheat, soy, garlic, salt, and particular oils (e.g. sunflower). You should also keep in mind that we make popular spicy snacks.

    Requirements:
    Ability to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
    Willingness to work overtime
    Must be mechanically inclined and can think that way. Having at least 1 year of machine operator experience
    Must have basic math skills and can read and write in English
    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
    Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
    Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation
