    PRIMARY PURPOSE
    The Shipping And Receiving laborer performs daily delivery, order fulfillment, packaging, receiving, and shipment duties of component boxes and materials. Conducts scheduling of orders, ensures accuracy of packaging products, and scans bar codes within the SAP system. Works with other employees and departments to resolve shipping and receiving matters. This position is responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly disassemble components.
    Who will you be working with?
    You will be part of our Shipping and Receiving Materials Handling team, collaborating closely with production leaders to ensure the accurate and efficient movement of materials throughout the plant. You will also work with Quality, Inventory control and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules, resolve Shipping and Receiving issues and support inventory accuracy.
    How will you make the difference?
    As a shipping & receiving clerk you will be a key link in our supply chain, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials and components for the production/remanufacturing of railroad equipment. You will help us to keep a safe, clean and organized work environment using 5s approach, ensure accurate and timely receiving, storage and delivery of parts and materials. Support the production team by producing materials to the correct locations, collaborating with other departments to resolve inventory and shipping and receiving discrepancies.
    This is a 1st shift position with standard hours Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Variations in this schedule will be communicated upon hire.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Medium level of manual labor.
    • Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol.
    • Pulls schedules to be ran by production exactly as they are listed.
    • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
    • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
    • Completes daily inbound receiving of product and packages.
    • Accurately pull, pack and stage customer orders
    • Use a computer to process FedEx and UPS small package shipments
    • Use a computer to process LTL (pallet shipments). This involves using Oracle and other customer logistics sites.
    • Unload incoming shipments from trucks using a pallet jack or forklift.
    • Unloading customer material from Crates, pallets and other shipping containers.
    • Responsible for input of daily receipts into database.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge, and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation.
    • High school degree or equivalent
    •1+ years of experience in materials handling, shipping and receiving or warehouse operations within manufacturing- railroad, aerospace or automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of basic mechanics.
    • Knowledge of machine testing procedures. Specialized equipment used in this job

    Key Responsibilities

    Summary:

    The R&D Microbiology Laboratory Technician provides technical and laboratory support to Global R&D Microbiological Sciences team. This role is responsible for performing routine microbiological testing, preparing microbiological media and reagents, supporting product safety and quality programs, and assisting with challenge studies, shelf-life studies, and other research activities. The successful candidate will work closely with R&D microbiologists to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant laboratory operations that support innovation, product development, and consumer testing initiatives.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    ·        Sample handling & testing: Receive, log, label, and process R&D and pilot‐plant samples; execute routine tests (e.g., APC, coliforms, yeast & mold), swabs/rinse waters, per defined Valhalla methods and micro sampling plans; document results with precision.

    ·        Media & reagent preparation: Prepare high‐quality culture media, buffers, and reagents; perform sterility checks; maintain lot and expiration records.

    ·        Support studies: Assist Microbiologists during microbiological challenge/qualification studies (inoculation, monitoring, data capture); ensure aseptic technique and adherence to protocols.

    ·        Result reporting: Record, verify, and route test outcomes; notify stakeholders of releases or out‐of‐spec findings in line with Valhalla release procedures.

    ·        Lab operations: Maintain inventory, order supplies/consumables; perform equipment checks and cleaning (incubators, waterbaths, refrigerators/freezers) and complete LQS logs/SOPs.

    ·        Quality system & GLP: Follow SOPs, data integrity and traceability practices; support QC programs and proficiency activities; uphold safety and GLP standards.

    ·        Culture collection: Maintain and update the laboratory culture collection per department practices.

    ·        Digital/lab systems: Use SharePoint/DM templates and LIMS/recording tools for sample tracking and data entry (as applicable to Valhalla).

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    ·        Education: B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or related discipline with microbiology coursework/labs.

    ·        Experience: 1–3+ years hands‐on experience in a microbiology lab (or equivalent academic, internship or co-op experience) performing standard methods (serial dilutions, pour/spread plates, colony counting, culture transfers).

    ·        Technical skills: Proficient aseptic technique; operation of micro lab equipment (autoclave, incubators, membrane filtration, pH meter, balances, biosafety cabinet); accurate documentation.

    ·        Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow written procedures, teamwork, communication, and time management in a fast‐paced R&D environment.

    The main objective of the role is to conduct basic analyses for all types of food materials and ingredients and provide analytical insights for research workstreams within the PFNA foods portfolio. The primary role is to conduct physical testing, volatiles testing, oil quality testing, and method development support. In addition, this role includes business support for digital integrations within LabVantage LIMS software. The role will leverage analytical instruments, methodologies, and procedures to deliver solid and accurate data in a timely.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    · Perform the testing of samples leveraging internal and external capabilities as appropriate.

    · Deploy analytical methods and capture data into a laboratory information management system (LabVantage).

    · Support the development of analytical methods where required

    · Collaborate with product development, operations, and analytical partners as appropriate.

    · Learn new test methods.

    · Collaborate across the Measurement Sciences research laboratory team to conduct analysis in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with minimal supervision.

    · Demonstrate adherence to site Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Practice policies and procedures.

    · Maintain accurate records and documentation and assure the reliability of measurement systems by using appropriate GLP.

    · Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support for research testing functions.

    · Collaborate with Lab Operations and cross-functional teams to implement advanced functionality within the LabVantage LIMS platform.

     

    Required Qualifications

    · Minimum BS degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related discipline with experience in a laboratory environment.

    · Familiar with Laboratory Information Management Systems and documentation tools.

    · Expertise in analytical chemistry across a wide variety of technical disciplines and be able to apply it directly to our global products.

    If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for 90% - 95% of your shift. It's a physical job! It also gets loud facilities are large. While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature in our warehouses is limited. Indoor warehouse working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather.
    Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during the workday:
    Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers, as well as collect empty pallet boards and carry them to storage
    Pick appropriate cases according to order using required technology
    Restack fallen products in trailers
    Load trailers via carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer
    Receive and distribute product and assist in weekly product inventory
    General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, help clean a trailer, take out the trash, etc.)
    Lift objects that weigh anywhere between 15 pounds and 50 pounds (i.e. anything from a bowling ball to a twin-size mattress) with or without a reasonable accommodation

    Requirements:
    Must be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods
    Ability to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
    Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products
    Must be willing to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces
