    AFRL plans and executes USAF programs in the areas of basic research, exploratory development, and advanced development. Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is currently providing organizational support to AFRL. This support includes tasks to ensure an effective Information Management concept and structure, that fosters timely deployment and optimal operation of Information Systems to support the research of the AFRL mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Design, deploy, and manage complex systems and networks.Ensure the availability, security, and performance of servers, storage, and networking infrastructure.Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and system monitoring.Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.Manage and mentor junior team members to ensure quality service delivery.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.Active CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570 equivalentAt least 5 years of experience in a system administration role with progressively increasing responsibilities.Expertise in Windows Server operating systems.Strong experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.Experience with storage technologies such as SAN/NAS, RAID, and disk arrays.Solid understanding of networking protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.Strong knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    The Network and Computer Systems Administrator provides technical support to government customers, maintains computer systems, printers, VoIP telephones, user account and permissions management, video telecommunications/teleconference system support, ISSO and Cybersecurity Liaison duties, documentation submission (appointment letters, access requests, etc.), and manages IT asset inventory. This role requires strong customer service skills, advanced technical aptitude, and experience with government inventory management and classified computer systems. The Technician will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, provide user training, and ensure accurate IT asset tracking and documentation. Maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring compliance with established procedures are integral functions of this role.

    Responsibilities:

    This individual will provide first-level end-user technical support, resolving issues efficiently and effectively. They will install, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of computer hardware and software, maintain printers, telephones and VTC equipment, establish network connectivity, and manage IT inventory assignments. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and strong technical skills.

    Equipment/Systems:

    This position requires frequent use of computers, printers, and various software applications. Experience with MS Office products, ticketing systems, and IT asset management software is essential.

    Competencies: The Network and Computer Systems Administrator role requires superior attention to detail, accuracy, excellent listening skills, and effective communication. Strong technical proficiency in computer hardware, software, and networking is also required. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently is critical, as most work will be completed within a secure area.


    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

    This job operates primarily in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Duties may require lifting of computer equipment, using ladders, walking large office buildings, and loading/unloading of boxes, containers, or trucks.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time exempt position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, regular business hours; additional hours as needed to ensure performance across the program.

    Travel: Primarily local travel for user support

    Requirements

    High School Diploma or equivalent.Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140 certification.5+ years of experience in classified government computer support or IT customer service.Experience with computer hardware, software, VoIP, VTC, and printer maintenance.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    Experience with government IT asset management (ITAM) systems.A+ Certification or other relevant technical certifications.Experience supporting government customers.

    Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

    Requires active TS/SCI clearance from the U.S. Government depending on position
