    Position Summary

    To protect and deliver the Del Taco Brand and grow sales while maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the restaurant by leading the Del Taco Way with the General Manager or as the lead manager.

    Essential Job Functions

    Support the General Manager's efforts to adequately staff the restaurant with quality people who are passionate about achieving standards, exceeding expectations, and delighting customers by:

    Recruiting, hiring, and retaining all restaurant employees in compliance with the employee position reportEnsuring the entire team is certified according to the current training process at all timesFostering an environment of continuous learningCreating a service oriented culturePromoting an environment of fun and teamworkEvaluating performance and recommending salary increasesRecommending, approving, and administering disciplinary action, suspension, and/or terminationDeveloping and growing team members

    Deliver the Brand to everyone the Del Taco Way by:

    Executing Del Taco Standards and using our processes and systems 100% of the timeMaintaining the facility and customer areasMaintaining all equipment to operational and safety standardsDelivering only quality products to Del Taco standards every timeAdhering to cleaning schedules and standardsEnsuring employees are in proper uniformEnsuring a consistent service experienceEnsuring POP and signage is present and in the approved location

    Achieve or exceed Sales plan and build customer counts and loyalty by:

    Assisting the General Manager in identifying and communicating sales goals (daily, weekly, year over year)Ensuring the right people are in the right places according to projected / actual salesIncreasing customer count and check average, and maximizing capacity and customer valueSupporting the General Manager in identifying and executing Local Store Marketing opportunities to attract new customersStaying aware of local events; Understanding the store's current trade area and competitionExecuting speed (speed with a smile) and service standardsFlawlessly executing marketing promotions and campaigns

    Achieve or exceed profitability plan:

    Maintaining staffing levels to actual salesComplying with labor lawsAccurately ordering and managing inventory to reduce waste and prevent theftEnsuring cash handling procedures and standards are in place and followedPerforming cash audits and addressing identified issuesExecuting safety and health standardsMinimizing R&M / Supplies and Services costs by managing service vendors efficientlyAchieving and communicating controllable cost targetsLimitations and Disclaimer

    1-2 years of experience in quick service restaurant environment with demonstrated ability to ensure guest satisfaction and ability to train and maintain an on-going guest service delivery.Demonstrated ability to be a leadership partner with management and staff, and to provide quality service to guests.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through.Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead staff to achieve organizational goals.General knowledge of computers, POS systems, various electronic devices, and various software.Ability to perform basic business math skills. Cash handling skills desired.Excellent organizational skills for keeping detailed records, reports and logs.Demonstrated ability to visually assess and evaluate safety hazards in the work place as mandated by company safety procedures.
