    Pre-K Teacher (4-Year-Old Classroom)Position Overview

    Decatur Scholars Academy is seeking an energetic, dependable, and passionate Pre-K Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for four-year-old scholars. The ideal candidate will prepare children for kindergarten through developmentally appropriate instruction while supporting their academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.

    We are looking for a professional who values teamwork, active supervision, parent communication, and creating a positive classroom culture where every child can thrive.

    Responsibilities

    Plan and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).Prepare students for kindergarten through hands-on learning in literacy, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional development.Maintain a structured, organized, and positive classroom environment.Provide active supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress.Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and classroom records.Complete accident, incident, and behavior reports in accordance with school policies.Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom that meets licensing standards.Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support student success and a positive school culture.Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.Follow all Decatur Scholars Academy policies and Georgia Bright from the Start regulations.Qualifications

    CDA, TCC, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.Previous experience teaching Pre-K or preschool-aged children preferred.Knowledge of child development and positive classroom management techniques.Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced classroom environment.Must meet Georgia Bright from the Start employment requirements.CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.What We're Looking For
