Summary
The Clinical Study Manager (CSM) is responsible for overseeing a variety of clinical and research studies from ideation and startup through completion. This may include investigator-initiated trials (IITs), industry-sponsored trials (ISTs), investigator-initiated studies (IISs), industry-sponsored observational studies, and/or high-priority internal research initiatives.
Key responsibilities include managing timelines for study deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams, and serving as the main point of communication with internal stakeholders, sponsors, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and vendors. The CSM ensures studies are conducted in accordance with protocols, legal agreements, ICH-GCP guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
