    Join our innovative manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production processes, enhancing product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to leverage your mechanical and industrial engineering expertise to develop efficient manufacturing solutions, implement automation, and support the seamless operation of our manufacturing facility. Your contributions will directly impact product excellence and operational efficiency, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Codes, tests, debugs, designs, documents and installs both new programs/technologies and changes to existing programs/technologies of a complex nature. Responsible for developing cost estimates as required from customer’s documents and also tracking of actual cost versus estimates for some customers along with Accounting department. This position will also work with Production regarding all tool testing, time studies of machines, and perishable tooling. Essential Functions · Create part programs using Cad Cam system for CNC lathe or mills · Create internal drawings as needed using Cad system · Establish time standards for processing parts throughout the facility · Develop manufacturing methods to promote efficient facility utilization · Analyzes end users data needs and develops user oriented solutions, which interface with existing applications. · Coordinates the review of specification, sign-off process and procedures. · Coordinates all aspects of implementation and training to support new program/system. · Assists operations in the setup, testing and support of new programs and machining procedures. · Provides guidance to solving complex operations malfunctions and performs troubleshooting. · Prepares cost analysis in computer by capturing actual incurred versus estimates material, labor and outside processing costs. · Develop cost estimates from customer RFQ’s, drawings, and specifications. · Creates and tracks all supporting documents needed for machining operations including, but not limited to travelers, set up sheets and process logs. · Help setup, debug, and optimize new jobs on machines. · Responsible for tracking all R and minimum of 5 years of hands-on machining experience. Technical and computer skills required. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department. Strong level of problem solving, organizational effectiveness and project management ability required.     Job description
    D&E Machining is currently seeking an experienced full-time Quality Inspector on 2nd shift. There is a substantial shift differential for 2nd shift employees. The ideal candidate will perform and audit work activities of production workers to verify conformance of activities to quality control standards.

     

    Essential Functions:

    Performs inspections for the company products to determine conformance with specificationsUtilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, micrometers, and calipersAbility to use CMMAbility to read/interpret customer prints, drawings, and specificationsProcess associated documentation including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documentsWork under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniquesSet gauges for operatorsAssist in preparation of quality sheets and CMM programsOther duties may be assigned as required

     

    Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or an equivalent degree; basic knowledge in QS and ISO standards is recommended; CMM knowledge and 1-3 years of blueprint reading preferred. Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments and functional gauges. Knowledge and understanding of GD&T. Knowledge and understanding of Industry Standards, (SAE ASME, ANSI, AMS, ASTM, FED-STD, MIL) is preferred. Experience in Microsoft programs is required.


    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, stand, and will occasionally be required to reach above shoulders and lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.


    Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud noise. Safety glasses and safety shoes must be worn in the shop. This position requires employee to work in an indoor environment and come in direct contact with other staff and customers. The employee will be working near moving mechanical parts.


    Working hours: Full-Time 2nd Shift - 40 hours (Monday - Thursday) plus overtime when needed.

    D&E Machining is currently seeking a CNC Lathe Operator with 2+ years of experience for full-time available for either 1st or 2nd shift. There is a substantial shift differential for 2nd shift employees. The ideal candidate will perform the day-to-day operation of the machining of customer parts to dimensions specified on the print, will edit programs as required to produce optimal results and seek opportunities to reduce machine time and increase efficiencies, participate in team meetings, designate proper delineation of all scrap, communicate quality concerns, and perform general upkeep of the machine.


    Essential Functions:

    Setup and run equipment as assigned.Maintain tooling inventory at machine.Machine parts to required tolerance on machine drawing.Mark material for deposition.Perform quality assurance for all parts machined.Effectively remove burrs/sharp edges when needed.Assist with machine maintenance when directed by Supervisor.Assist in training of new operators as needed.Participate in ISO-9001 through continuous improvement training.Material handling as required when a move person is not available.Keep machine area clean and safe.Fill out inspection logs, travelers, and time slips.Participate in team updates.Upload and download from the machine controlParticipate in business updates.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

     

    Marginal Functions:
