    DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE), is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety
    The Sr. Engineering Project Manager is responsible leading all phases of engineering and design efforts related to land development and natural gas related projects.  This role will have direct client interaction and will manage the design, engineering, permitting and approvals necessary for all projects as well as directing the work of internal and external resources.  This individual can also expect to perform business development, proposal writing, prepare man-hour estimates as necessary and have responsibilities for managing client relationships.

    Skills and Experience
    Required
    • A minimum of 10 years related experience in land development or natural gas engineering
    • At least 3 years of experience working in a project management capacity
    • Significant hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to lead others
    • Ability to interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors and internal staff
    • Professional Engineering License
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
    Preferred
    • Knowledge of local utilities
    • Local, county, and state permitting experience

As part of our team, you will play a vital role in both accurately estimating and managing our commercial sitework projects, allowing us to help build the infrastructure for tomorrow.
    Estimator/Project Manager                                                                                   Pay Range: 85-120K Annually
    This role will serve a dual purpose.  We seek an experienced individual that can both estimate and manage commercial projects for our heavy civil construction group. Primary responsibilities will include evaluating bid specifications, bid packages, drawings, and ensuring everything required for bid submission has been included for a successful proposal. You must also be comfortable with aggressively following up with subcontractors and vendors to ensure that proposals for materials and subcontractor items are received, and accurate costs are represented with the estimate. After bids are awarded, the opportunity to manage portions of, or entire projects. We operate in a team-based environment where collaboration is a way of life.
    This position is required to perform the following functions:
    Estimating:
    • Perform full take-off and bid projects based on bid schedule demands
    • Prepares and maintains the status of plans and specifications
    • Solicits and maintains communications with subcontractors and vendors
    • Responsible for the preparation of bid packages
    • Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline
    • Thoroughly reviews and ensures that any changes prior to the bid deadline are implemented within the proposal

    Project Management:
    • Maintain overall responsibility for safety, quality, and cost of each project
    • Manage all contract documents and administration
    • Prepare and oversee all required submittals to Owner/General Contractor
    • Provide hands on management of all subcontractors, manpower, equipment, material ordering and create and maintain project schedules
    • Responsible for the development of submission of applications for payment, claims and project change order documentation
    • Monitor project performance by using appropriate tools and techniques
    • Finalize vendor and subcontract contracts
    • Attend and participate in field job meetings and provide customers with any scheduling conflicts related to site work and various trades
    Skills and Experience
    Required
    • 5+ years of related estimating and/or project management experience in heavy civil, or an adjacent industry
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must know MS Office products including Word, Excel and Project
    • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills
    Preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
    • Previous experience with Bid2win, HCSS or other estimating software
    • Knowledge of online platforms for submitting bids
    • Prior experience utilizing takeoff software, Insite, Blue Beam, etc.
    • Familiarity with public, private and energy sectors

    Survey Crew Chief                                                                                               Pay Range: $24-$34/hour

    The Crew Chief will be primarily responsible for performing assignments related to boundary, topographic, right of way and existing condition surveys as well as leading other junior teammates.  This will include working with internal and external clients and can include a mix of field and office duties in support of these projects.

    This position will be required to perform the following functions:
    • Utilize various survey technologies to complete projects.
    • Download and process survey field data.
    • Analyze and adjust survey control.
    Skills and Experience

    Required
    • A minimum of 2 years of prior leadership experience.
    • Proficient with the latest survey technologies, robotic total stations, base/rover & network GPS units.
    • Must be familiar with boundary, topographic, utility, right-of-way, and existing condition surveys.
    • Knowledge of land surveying practices, principles, and techniques.
    • Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
    Preferred
    • Familiar with AutoCAD for drafting and computations.
    • Knowledge of Carlson SurvCE.

The role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all pipeline integrity and corrosion field service activities in accordance with DDS and Client specifications and/or procedures. Operations can include cathodic protection, internal corrosion, AC/DC interference, and atmospheric corrosion. Must have AMPP Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) and a desire and ability obtain Cathodic Protection Technician (CP2) certification.

    Integrity/Corrosion Field Lead                                                                                   Pay Range: $30-40/hour

    • Must be detail oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, internal and external customers.

    Preferred:
