Commercial Electrical Estimator
Davis & Green is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated estimator who is ready to take ownership of projects, work closely with operations, and play a key role in helping us secure profitable commercial electrical work.
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of commercial electrical construction who can develop accurate estimates, manage multiple bids, and contribute to the continued success of our company.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates and competitive bids for commercial electrical projectsUtilize estimating software to perform takeoffs and develop project pricingComplete manual takeoffs and conceptual estimates when requiredReview plans, specifications, and addenda to determine project scope and identify potential risksSolicit, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricingIdentify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutionsParticipate in pre-bid meetings and scope reviews as neededCollaborate with project managers during project turnover and startupMaintain bid documentation, tracking logs, and historical cost dataAssist with budgeting and preliminary pricing for negotiated projectsQualifications
3–7+ years of commercial electrical estimating experienceProficiency with electrical estimating softwareStrong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, and labor productivityAbility to perform manual takeoffs and conceptual pricingProject management experience is a plusExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong communication and relationship-building skillsWhy Join Davis & Green?

Job Summary:
The Commercial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings and facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical code compliance, blueprints, and job safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.Ensure electrical systems comply with all relevant codes and safety standards (NEC, local, and state regulations).Plan and install electrical panels, conduit, switches, receptacles, lighting, and other electrical components.Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance as required.Collaborate with project managers, foremen, apprentices, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow.Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and standard industry practices.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
