Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer plays a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting power and electrical infrastructure in data center environments. This role supports customer sites through commissioning, maintenance, and service work while ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
Perform start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance, and corrective service on UPS and power equipmentTravel to customer sites (regional and nationwide) for deployments, maintenance, and emergency responseTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues across UPS systems, batteries, and electrical infrastructureSupport installations, replacements, and system upgradesProvide on-site and remote support to customers and internal teamsComplete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentationTrack inventory and ensure proper handling/return of equipmentEducate customers on system operations and maintenanceFollow all safety protocols, cybersecurity standards, and compliance requirementsWhat You Bring
2+ years of experience in UPS systems, power systems, or related technical fieldStrong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and troubleshootingExperience with batteries, UPS systems, and infrastructure maintenanceAbility to work independently in the field and manage time effectivelyStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsComfortable with travel and working in various environmentsPreferred:
Technical training or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related fieldOSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout, First Aid/CPRExperience with Delta, Toshiba, or Samsung systemsSpanish-speaking abilityBenefits
