    Job Summary


    We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III to join our infrastructure team. This role is responsible for leading projects related to the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of corporate computing environments, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure, server environments, storage, applications, hardware, networking, and database-related architecture.

    The Systems Engineer III will play a key role in supporting both operational needs and strategic infrastructure initiatives. This position is expected to spend approximately 40% of time on operational support and 60% on planned project work.


    The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can improve infrastructure reliability, security, efficiency, compliance, and scalability while supporting the organization’s continued growth.


    Compensation and location

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead multiple infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade on-premises and cloud data center infrastructure.Support server environments, storage systems, applications, hardware, and related infrastructure technologies.Verify, implement, and govern enterprise best practices for availability, performance, and security.Lead and support security audit initiatives, including HITRUST, SOC 2, and related compliance efforts.Participate in an on-call rotation.Work one weekend day per month, with corresponding time off.Train, mentor, and support junior engineers.Lead technical troubleshooting efforts for infrastructure, network, storage, and application issues.Facilitate interdepartmental meetings and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.Research, evaluate, and perform proof-of-concept testing for new technologies.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with end users, vendors, managers, and internal teams.Support change management processes and ensure production changes are properly planned, communicated, and documented.


    Required Qualifications

    Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure.Data center experience, including rack and stack, cabling, hardware replacement, and troubleshooting.Proficiency with Linux command line and Windows Server administration.Strong experience with Microsoft domain services, including:DNSActive DirectoryGroup PolicyWSUSExperience with load balancers.Experience with Fibre Channel SAN and NAS technologies.Proficiency with GitLab.Experience with SFTP technologies and processes.Automation experience using tools such as:PowerShellAnsibleTerraformJenkinsStrong networking knowledge, including:OSI modelTCP/IPVLANsLAN/WAN conceptsKnowledge of data communications and telecommunications principles.Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

    Summary

    The Senior Cost Accountant role will focus on strengthening the cost accounting system within a manufacturing environment. It involves collaborating with the cost manager in supporting the implementation of controls to ensure accurate reporting of inventories and manufacturing costs, researching variances, and making recommendations for improvement.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Create bill of materials for each job and the setup of standard costs, including labor, material, machining, and other direct and indirect conversion costs.Prepare and analyze cost reports and costing auditsMonitor controls in place to ensure the integrity of the cost data.Work with operations and production to track conversion process and costs throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.Contribute in building BOM library for the master product catalogue.Liaise with Purchasing for price evolution and raw material cost update. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of purchase price variance.Research and validate variances versus standard for purchases, processes, labor and spending.Manage inventory valuation from cost update and inventory adjustments for GAAP reporting (e.g. price testing). Financial controls over inventory reporting. Ensure adherence to month-end and cycle count instructions.Monitors scrap and recycle of materials.Monitor inventory movement throughout the production process to ensure accurate accounting of costs by job and inventories on hand. Ensure accurate reporting of inventory in-transit and 3rd-party warehouses. Track project cost and analyze budget to actual variances over project life cycle.Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget process.Validate the cost of goods sold is accurately tracked by product by job as part of the month-end close.Supports FP&A in the preparations of management reports. Assist in the report on the effectiveness of operational performance by providing operations with financial analysis, plant metrics and KPIs.


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent experience.A minimum of three years’ work experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is required.Through knowledge of accounting procedures and principles, to manage and analyze the costs associated with the company’s operations.Affinity for manufacturing operations and inquisitive for how things work.Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Experience with business intelligence and analytics software is preferred.Previous experience with an ERP in a manufacturing environment is required.Excellent analysis skills and the ability to collaborate with multi-department teams.Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to review work for any discrepancies.The ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Outstanding problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Ability to be versatile; can adapt to a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.Strong customer service skills with the ability to ensure that a high level of service and quality is maintained.Able to acquire technical understanding of products and manufacturing processes to be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders.The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines.Must be a “Process Owner” researching subtle problems without direction


    Working Conditions
