    The Democratic Attorneys General Association provides political and policy support to Democratic State Attorneys General and candidates in their mission to protect citizens, promote progress, and support civil rights.


    Title: Political Partnerships Manager


    Reports To: Director of Political and Campaign Services


    Salary Range: $68,000-$70,000


    Purpose: The Political Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing regular outreach to progressive partner organizations including but not limited to representing DAGA at conferences, providing regular written communications to interested parties, and tracking investments across multiple states and programs. The Political Partnerships Manager works closely with the Director of Campaigns Services to uplift the role of Democratic AGs in the progressive space and to help facilitate ongoing programmatic investment into AG races.


    The Political Partnerships Manager position requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Experience working in progressive campaigns or PACs preferred.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Draft and send regular newsletters to partners highlighting the strategic goals of Democratic AGsMeet with aligned organizations on a regular basisRepresent DAGA at conferences and virtual conveningsCompile outside poll briefings and distribute internallyTrack endorsements and partner programming in states, identify areas for growth, and work with Political and Campaign Services Director to facilitate additional programmingUpdate and maintain political contact directory and CRMDraft and distribute briefings to candidates, AGs, and DAGA StaffSchedule and facilitate cross-departmental meetings including managing cross-departmental tasks and various organizational calendars, to ensure that staff have the most up-to-date informationAssist in developing State of Race briefings via PowerPoint

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree;At least two years of experience ,preferably on a campaign, party committee, or progressive PACExperience drafting strong written materials to be distributed to a range of audiencesDemonstrated knowledge of national political environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience drafting strategic documents and tracking documents or spreadsheetsAbility to independently operate in the field with state leadership, staff, and local constituenciesAbility to independently operate in the field with state leadership, staff, and local constituenciesAbility to manage multiple programs and priorities across statesAn outside of the box thinker with a good sense of humor and a positive attitude

    This positionis located inWashington, DC with a hybrid work schedule requiring 3 days a week in office. Ability to travel when needed

    Title: Deputy Director of Major Gifts

    Reports To: Director of Major Gifts

    Salary Range: $87,000-$90,000

    Purpose:


    The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) seeks to hire a Deputy Director of Major Gifts. The Deputy Director will be responsible for raising funds from individual major donors, executing high level AG fundraising events, and supporting the Director of Major Gifts. The Deputy Development Director will also coordinate with AGs, AG teams, DAGA leadership and outside consultants, to strategize and execute on AG fundraising, including events, call time, meetings, and any other non-digital fundraising tools.

    This person will work closely with the Director of Major Gifts and other members of the Development team to meet aggressive fundraising goals for the 2026 election cycle. The ideal candidate will be self starter who is professional, resourceful, results-oriented, and enthusiastic about providing critical support to the development team and interfacing with DAGA partners.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Raise $500,000 annuallyDevelop a prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship plan for $25,000-$50,000 level individual donors.Manage all in-state AG events, meetings, and call time in partnership with the Development Manager.Manage follow up on AG call time, events, and meetings.Coordinate all activities of DAGA Finance Chair to execute meetings, calls, event requests, other needs, and scheduling.Manage and execute all AG call time and follow-up in partnership with the Development ManagerHelp track AG travel and work with AGs to execute DAGA fundraising during national travelAssist with prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship of Labor, ideological, and philanthropic fundraising efforts.Advise and participate as needed in events or fundraising activities led by the Business Council Partnerships or other members of the DAGA Development team.Prepare memos, call sheets, and talking points for AGs and other principals as neededDraft solicitations, invitations, and any other collateral needed.Assist in creating monthly and yearly projections for major gifts fundraising.


    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree required4+ years of fundraising experience and at least one full cycle of experience as a Finance Director or equivalent senior fundraising role for a campaign or political organizationWorked with, solicited, and grew a major donor portfolio of donors at the $25,000-$50,000 levelStrong donor-facing skills with a track record of building authentic, long-term relationshipsComfortable making significant direct asks and pursuing new donor relationshipsExperience working in fundraising for a 527 Political Organization, Federal PAC, or on a campaign preferredDonor relationship management and strong knowledge of stakeholdersAbility to clearly and effectively communicate, particularly in briefing materials for principals and the development of proposals to donors and other pitch materialsCommitment to a broader understanding of educating the public on the work of Attorneys General Excellent organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaborativelyResults-oriented with a proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines and objectivesProject management skills that enable the juggling of multiple tasks, allocating and optimizing resources, and managing timelinesSense of humor and positive attitudeCommitment to DAGA’s mission
