    CV Resources is partnering with a client in Renton on a temp-to-permanent hire Accounts Payable search.

    Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team in a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and building strong vendor relationships.

    ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.Route invoices for approvals and appropriate general ledger coding.Process invoices for multiple departments and ensure all required documentation is complete.Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation, and assist with annual 1099 processing.Monitor aging reports to ensure timely payments and maximize available discounts.Process electronic payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.Research and resolve payment issues, coding questions, and duplicate invoices.Maintain organized electronic accounts payable files and documentation.Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations.Support special projects and provide additional accounting assistance as needed.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.Experience working with accounting software; NetSuite experience is highly preferred.Background supporting construction, nonprofit, retail, or project-based organizations is a plus.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication and customer service skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.What We're Looking For

    CV Resources is partnering with a well-established, employee-focused consulting and engineering organization in Portland to hire a Payroll & Accounting Specialist on a temp-to-hire basis. This will be a 30-32 hour/week position.

    This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of payroll and accounting, supporting a collaborative finance team while helping manage payroll operations for a growing organization.

    The accounting team is currently undergoing organizational growth and restructuring, creating an opportunity for a payroll and accounting professional to join the team and support ongoing operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Process biweekly payroll for approximately 300 employees using Ceridian Dayforce

    Review and process weekly employee expense reports

    Assist with accounts payable and vendor payment processing

    Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll-related reporting

    Collaborate with accounting leadership on general accounting support as needed

    Assist with payroll and accounting integration related to a recent company acquisition

    Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures

    Systems & Tools

    Ceridian Dayforce (Payroll)

    Deltek Ajera (Accounting/ERP)

    QuickBooks (used by an acquired entity currently transitioning into Ajera)

    Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting tools

    Ideal Background

    Experience processing full-cycle payroll for 200+ employees

    Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce strongly preferred

    Experience with expense report processing and accounts payable

    Strong attention to detail and ability to work across payroll and accounting functions

    Comfortable working in a collaborative and evolving team environment

    Work Environment

    Primarily remote role

    Occasional onsite support in Downtown Portland (roughly once per month)
