    We are currently seeking an Industrial Service Technician to add to our growing team.

    Position Summary & Objective

    The Industrial Service Technician provides responsive service to CAPS Industrial and Commercial customers. This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of HVAC/R systems, including both comfort and process equipment in classified and non-classified environments.

    Equipment serviced may include refrigeration systems, ice machines, air conditioning units, electric motors, heating systems, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, furnaces, boilers, chillers, VFDs, ventilation systems, economizers, pressurization systems, and humidity control equipment.

    Key Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking an Electrical Assembler to add to our growing team.

    Facility Location: 7042 Satsuma Drive, Houston, TX 77041

    Position Summary & Objective

    The Electrical Assembler I is responsible for performing basic to intermediate electrical assembly tasks in the production of custom HVAC units. This role includes wiring, component installation, and assisting with testing while working under general supervision. The Electrical Assembler I ensures work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with specifications, supporting overall production goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Read and interpret work orders, basic wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.Gather required materials, components, tools, and subassemblies for assigned tasks.Position and prepare components for assembly using measurements and instructions.Cut, strip, and prepare wiring to specified lengths.Install insulation materials such as sleeves, shrink tubing, and coverings.Crimp terminals, connectors, and lugs using hand tools and equipment.Route, bundle, secure, and terminate wiring to designated connection points.Assemble and install basic electrical components, including junction boxes, control panels, switches, and accessories.Perform basic visual inspections of completed work to ensure accuracy.Assist with continuity testing and functional checks using basic electrical testing tools.Identify defects or issues and communicate with leads or supervisors for resolution.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.Accurately complete production documentation and job tracking.Support team members and assist in other areas as needed to meet production targets.

    Qualifications & Skills

    1–3 years of experience in electrical assembly, HVAC manufacturing, or related field preferred.Ability to read and interpret basic wiring diagrams and blueprints.Familiarity with hand tools and basic electrical assembly equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.Basic problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.High school diploma or GED required.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment

    Work performed in a manufacturing/assembly environment with exposure to production equipment and noise.Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.Frequent lifting and handling of materials up to 25–40 pounds.Exposure to dust, fumes, and industrial materials.Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and protective footwear.

This role ensures all wiring and assemblies are completed accurately to specifications, supporting production schedules while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and company procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    Review work orders, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to determine assembly requirements.Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials needed for electrical assembly.Position components and subassemblies using measurements, templates, and instructions.Cut, strip, and prepare wiring to specified lengths.Install insulation materials such as sleeves and coverings on wire ends.Crimp terminals, eyelets, and lugs using hand or mechanical tools.Route, bundle, tie, and secure wiring to terminal points and components.Assemble and install control panels, junction boxes, switches, and electrical accessories.Inspect completed assemblies to verify accuracy against specifications.Perform functional and continuity testing using electrical testing equipment (ohmmeters, test lights, etc.).Identify and troubleshoot wiring or assembly issues, escalating as needed.Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on tools and equipment.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.Support inventory awareness and material usage.Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

    Qualifications & Skills

    3 years minimum experience in HVAC, electrical assembly, or manufacturing environments.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.Proficiency using hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment

    The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for custom HVAC equipment and field-installed projects.     Key Responsibilities

    Design electrical power and control systems for custom HVAC and pressurization equipmentDevelop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD ElectricalPrepare HVAC sequences of operationPerform electrical calculations including MCA and MOCP, SCCR, wire sizesSelect electrical components and materials based on electrical design and project requirementsCreate detailed back panel layouts and specify electrical connectionsPerform electrical interconnecting wiring diagramsPrepare complete engineering drawing packages and submittal documentationDevelop Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical systemsReview and incorporate redlines and as-built updatesCommunicate design intent and technical information to internal teams, fabrication, and installation personnelSupport projects during fabrication and testing by reviewing progress and providing technical inputEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, and others as required)Maintain and organize drawings and project documents electronically

    Qualifications & Skills

    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Texas preferred or required based on role scopeMinimum 8–10 years of experience in HVAC, manufacturing, or related industryProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical requiredStrong knowledge of PLCsStrong knowledge of electrical power and control circuit design (AC/DC)Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and components preferred (fans, compressors, heaters, controls)Understanding of NEC and applicable electrical codes and standardsExperience with hazardous location requirements preferred; IEC/ATEX knowledge preferredAbility to read and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and system schematicsGeneral understanding of mechanical and structural design considerationsStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projectsEffective communication and collaboration skills
