We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our growing firm. In this role, you will play a critical part in our tax compliance process by reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to quality and client service.
Responsibilities
Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns prepared by tax staff for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
Provide technical guidance
Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure clients take full advantage of all eligible deductions and credits
Collaborate with engagement teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of tax engagements
Research and analyze complex tax issues, including new tax laws and their implications
Assist in managing client expectations, engagement timelines, and deliverables
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with firm policies, procedures, and professional standards
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting clients and the profession
Participate in process improvement initiatives related to tax review procedures and workflow
Maintain tax prep priorities, deliverables, and deadlines
Work independently or as part of a team
Requirements
CPA required
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required
Experience with tax preparation and accounting
Experience in public accounting preferred
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to professionally engage with clients, verbally and in writing
Proficiency working with a computer and software
Experience with compiled and reviewed financial statements a plus
Experience with Click Up, CCH/Engagement, and QuickBooks a big plus.
Work Arrangement
With training and proven experience, working remotely is negotiable but is not guaranteed based on business needs.

The Communications Intern will support initiatives that strengthen the firm's brand, enhance internal and external communications, and promote engagement with clients, prospects, and employees. This position provides exposure to marketing strategy, content creation, digital communications, and brand management efforts. Working closely with the Marketing Department, the intern will assist in developing and executing communication initiatives that align with the firm's growth objectives and culture.
Essential Functions:
Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing and communication materials, including newsletters, email campaigns, blogs, and promotional content.

Location & Travel
This position is based at the Springfield, MO office. Limited local travel may be required for marketing events, community outreach activities, or content gathering opportunities.
Required Education & Experience
