Job Type: Full-Time, Live-In Position
Overview: Curantis Home Care is seeking a compassionate, patient, and active live-in caregiver for a 83-year-old client residing in Dallastown, PA. The client lives alone and is experiencing dementia. He requires assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This position also involves engaging the client in activities, preparing meals, bathing, and providing companionship.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with all ADLs, including personal care, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
Engage the client in activities, such as conversation, hobbies, and light walks (if possible).
Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
Offer companionship and foster a safe, comfortable environment.
Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition to the care team.
Maintain a clean and orderly living space for the client.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with individuals with dementia and skilled with redirection.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with seniors.
Physically able to assist with mobility and personal care.
Must be comfortable with pets.
Strong communication skills.
Reliable and attentive to the needs of the client.
Schedule & Compensation:
Live-in position with breaks and rest periods in accordance with all applicable state and federal labor laws. Family will also step in for daily breaks when needed.
