    Job SummaryThe Bench/Traveling Director of Patient Transport and Observation supports the management of finances, client relations, patient satisfaction, quality standards, performance improvement, and productivity. This role oversees the planning, organization, direction, and control of Patient Transportation and hospital activities. The position requires hospitality or logistics management experience and will travel to support operations at hospitals across the United States.

    Job Summary

    Job Summary:
    The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. This is a first shift 7am to 3:30pm M-F schedule.

    Duties/ Responsibilities:

    Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
    Perform or supervise work necessary to inspect, maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and special systems.
    Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
    Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
    Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
    Trains maintenance department staff.
    Handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. 
    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:


    Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
    Excellent management and supervisory skills.
    Proficient with computers, email, and Microsoft Office or similar software.
    Education and Experience:
    High school diploma or equivalent required.
    At least five years of maintenance experience required, including supervisory experience.
    Physical Requirements:
    Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
    Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

    Job Summary

    Job Summary and Description: 
    •    The Building Automation Manager provides leadership, vision, and technical prowess for a healthcare system of ten hospitals. The position’s primary focus is to monitor, operate, manage, and improve each hospital’s existing BAS and act as the primary subject matter expert in automated controls. The focus is to examine and understand each hospital’s existing BAS and be able to understand and operate each system both on-site and remotely to provide support to on-site operators. Understanding the systems at each hospital includes in-depth research and field investigations to identify unique challenges and system vulnerabilities and devise mitigation strategies to include capital improvement scoping and other project management initiatives. 
    •    The Building Automation Manager also plays a key role in crises and event management during outages, service disruptions, or facility-related events. The role is required to investigate such events using the BAS to critically arrive at conclusions of root causes of failures or disruptions. The manager should be able to devise strategies to assist in identifying data requirements needed when evaluating such events to allow cause determination and implement strategy to retrieve.
    •    The Building Automation Manager will be responsible for identifying operational problems or deficiencies with how major building equipment is controlled and identify, devise, implement, and monitor controls solutions to improve performance and reliability.
    •    The selected candidate must have extensive experience in Building Automation Systems to include writing programming for the operation of major building equipment. Also, experience as a controls technician is required to include physical installation of new work as well as service on existing systems of all ages both electronic and pneumatic.
    •    The Building Automation Manager will be required to integrate engineering principles and technologies of mechanical (HVAC) systems, electrical systems, electronics, and computer hardware and software in the installation, operation inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of systems operating hospital mechanical equipment. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Health’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
    Qualifications:
    •    Minimum 3-5 years controls experience in hospitals 
    •    Strong proficiency in Siemens Apogee Insight and Desigo CC software
    •    Strong ability to read, comprehend, and critique MEP drawings
    •    Working knowledge of JCI Metasys and Niagara Tridium front ends
    •    Demonstrable technical proficiency for troubleshooting sensors and field devices
    •    Demonstrable ability to lead training effectively
    •    Good technical writing ability

    Job Summary

    The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to the facilities engineering and maintenance departments.  This is a first shift 7am to 3:30pm M-F schedule and you are required to work a rotating on-call schedule.

    Responsibilities:

    Job Summary

    Summary: Maintains a clean environment in the SPD Department, by cleaning, decontaminating, assembling and sterilizing instruments according to the facility practices and guidelines.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Follow daily assignments as outlined on the shift assignment sheet and exhibit flexibility when asked to change assignments as needed.

    · Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, sterilizes, and transports

    equipment, supplies and instruments according to manufacturer’s IFU and

    prescribed procedures and techniques.

    · Scans, sorts, and inspects instruments for functionality and cleanliness, assembles instruments according to provided lists, wraps, and labels them following documented procedures.

    · Participates in in-service education to stay updated on best practices and industry standards.

    · Function independently in all areas of the Sterile Processing Department and portions of the Surgical Suite (decontamination, assembly area-sterilizing (prep and pack), and OR instrumentation, sterile storage, runner role, case cart Picking, pack room and equipment testing).

    · Perform specialized cleaning for robotic instrumentation, take-a-part instrumentation, specialty Scopes, light cords, cameras and a variety of specialized instrumentation.

    · Operate specialized equipment such as cavi-wave ultrasonic cleaning unit, washers and a variety of sterilizers (Steam, Vpro (low temp) and Ethylene Oxide).

    · Inspect equipment and instrumentation for malfunction and/or missing parts and report same to Sterile Processing management.

    · Wrap and/or place in rigid containers, equipment or instruments needing sterilization.

    · Sterilizes instruments, equipment, surgical linens and supplies including surgical packs, surgical trays and syringes using steam or gas sterilizers or disinfects with antiseptic solutions according to manufacturer’s IFU.

    · Must use Tracking Software such as SPM, Censitrac, Abacus, T-Dot, etc. to track all instrumentation and equipment as well as keep all sterilization records accurate.

    · Maintains workstations clean, organized, neat, and stocked. Maintains cleanliness of sterilizers, washers and other department equipment as scheduled.

     

    Qualifications:

    · High School Diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

    · 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience preferred

    · CRCST or CBSPD preferred but not required

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    · Ability to read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedure Documents (SOPs)

    Work Environment:

    · Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requires special clothing and/or safety equipment.
