    About the Role

    Candidates must have at least 3+ years of experience with water and waste water construction. Must be highly motivated and willing to travel. Drug screen, physical and criminal background check is required of successful candidates.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Performs any combination of the following duties on construction projects, usually working in a utility capacity and by transferring from one task to another.

    Activities include but are not limited to:

    Operating heavy equipment including excavators, dozers and backhoes.
    Operate routinely used tools and equipment
    Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
    Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required
    Ability to supervise crew and stay directed on task
    Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same
    Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task.
    Physical demands of this position include lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally; 40-50 pounds frequently and carrying same along with constant sitting, grasping and reaching, occasional climbing and walking. Must be able to work outdoors and travel as needed.

    About the Role:

    The position is responsible for managing daily activities and issues related to completing a construction project, including overall project planning, scheduling, project cost accounting, quality control, contract administration, safety management, labor and equipment resources, and owner and architect relationships.Oversees construction projects from start to finish using the Crossland Heavy pre-planning guide to start each project and developing a Master Project Schedule that is updated monthly and communicated to all subcontractors, suppliers, owners, architects and field personnel.Develops a Master Variance for accounting of the entire project after the project starts using the CHC master variance guidelines and ensures all bills from subcontractors, suppliers, equipment and labor are coded regularly per the Crossland Company Guidelines.Manages all contracts, pay requests, change orders, RFI’s, ASI’s, with the Owner and Architect in a timely fashion.     Levels earth to fine grade specifications, using pick and shovel.

    Mixes concrete, using float, trowel and screed.

    Positions, joins and aligns and seals pipe sections.

    Erects scaffolding, shoring and braces.

    Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, or paint through hose to clean, coat or seal crevices.

    Grinds, sands, or polishes surfaces, such as concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring using abrading tools or machines.

    Performs a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, mounting pipe hangers, and cutting and attaching insulating materials.

    Work is usually performed with other workers.

    Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.

    Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same.

    Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task.

    Construction Project Scheduler

    Crossland is looking for a person with advanced experience in Primavera P6 scheduling program(s), along with strong building and field experience. This person will be an immediate company presence for a portion of projects throughout the company. They will provide leadership, support, and training per Crossland's policies and procedures, participate in all aspects of the construction planning and scheduling, and bring complete unity and assurance so all projects have great schedules. Schedules will have detail, sequence, logic, accuracy, and communication to help ensure all projects stay on track, finish on time, and with a profit.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Assist with creating, updating, and implementing project schedules collaboratively with the project team.Provide leadership, direction, and support for Crossland's scheduling effortsPerform schedule reviews. Ensure the company procedures and guidelines are adhered toParticipate in all phases of the construction planning and scheduling process. Proposal schedules, CPM schedules, baseline schedules and ongoing schedule updates.Ensure the project schedules adhere to the contractual requirements.Make regular visits to job sites, to review job statusAttend project related meeting or job site meeting when the emphasis is on the schedule.Lead an update review meeting with the project team, ensuring all items that have or may have a negative impact on the project are properly documented with-in the schedule.Construction and scheduling program support and training for assigned divisions and job site staff. Good grasp of the local market information.     About the Role

    The position is responsible for all activities at the construction site, including providing a safe and productive work environment, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects stays within budgetary limits set forth by the estimate.

    Candidates must have verifiable work experience as a foreman, with additional construction experience required. Must understand schedules and be able to complete projects on time and on budget by tracking variances and cost projections. Foremen must have a proven track record supervising and coordinating all personnel including subcontractors and materials to prevent delays. Candidate selected must be highly motivated.     Essential Responsibilities:

    Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of the assistant superintendent, field engineers, craft employees, and all subcontractors on construction projects. Acts as an adviser to the owner, design team, and all tradesmen associated with the project.Determines work priorities, and coordinates work activities with all necessary parties to ensure that the project remains efficient and on schedule.Oversees the terms and conditions of construction contracts.Apportions work among employees and subcontractors according to project needs and coordinates work so that it maintains a smooth flow among the various trades.Introduces new trades to the projects as the project requires them and collaborates with management of the various trades to ensure the work is carried out in a manner consistent with the project plans and specifications.Provides a safe work environment through creating a culture of safety for the project and holding each individual on the project accountable for safe behavior. Regularly holds safety meetings and makes sure that the company’s safety policies are being enforced.Works as a liaison to the owner and coordinates plans and construction activities with the owner.Sources material suppliers for consumables required to construct the project and estimates materials required for specific jobs. Orders materials and coordinates deliveries of materials to coincide with construction progress. Ensures that the materials for construction are on the project site as they are required and are stored in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Coordinates materials staging are as between the various trades and monitors material deliveries.Maintains inventory and control over the projects tools, materials, equipment, and security.Writes and maintains a project's daily record in detail through daily reports. Communicates those reports to the office on a daily basis.Holds, at minimum, weekly coordination meetings between all subcontractors who are currently on site and any that will be on site in the near future. Coordinates work flows, safety, environmental concerns, manpower requirements, materials requirements and overall schedule through these meetings.Is responsible for the overall project schedule. Writes and maintains short term interval schedules for the use and review of all trades on the project. Included are all phases of work that are current and applicable. Maintains overall project schedule through implementation of the short term interval schedule.Is responsible for quality control on the project: holds all works accountable for adherence to the project plans and specifications. Holds pre-installations meetings to review installation procedures for all major materials used and has a thorough understanding of the project specifications and industry standards for installation of all materials to be used. Pre-installation meetings include manufacturers representatives, required design team members, affect ed subcontractors, and if necessary the owners representative. Assures that the work adheres to the project plans, specifications, codes, and other governmental agencies requirements. Coordinates inspections and insures that testing is being performed per the contract documents.Maintains project budget through management of all labor associated with the project. Tracks and monitors the labor force for productivity .Manages company and rental equipment for maximum productivity and minimum cost.Keeps accurate record of time for employees, accurately codes the time to the tasks completed and reports time to the office in a timely manner.Coordinates and facilitates the closeout of the project. Is responsible to assure that all punch list items are completed in a timely manner and that the own er is satisfied with both the quality and timeliness of the project as it is completed.Maintains a good relationship with the project manager and works as a team to complete the project.Act as a mentor for subordinates and regularly reviews their performance and makes recommendations for improvements and wage adjustments.
