Are you a dynamic communicator who loves the art of the sale just as much as a great glass of wine?
Crescent Moon Winery is seeking a performance-driven Tasting Room Sales Associate to join our team.
This is not a passive bartending position. In this role, you are a critical brand ambassador responsible for driving revenue, generating multi-bottle and case sales, and growing our dedicated Wine community through consultative, educational customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive DTC Revenue:
Consistently close sales by guiding guests through premium wine flights, identifying their preferences, and confidently recommending selections, pairings, and case purchases.
Actively promote and convert daily visitors into long-term customers members by effectively communicating the value and exclusive benefits of our community.
Brand Storytelling: Educate guests on our specific Kansas terroir, vineyard management, and the unique winemaking process behind our regional varietals to create a memorable connection that drives brand loyalty.
Maintain Luxury Standards: Ensure the tasting room, merchandise displays, and personal presentations reflect a premium, professional boutique winery environment.
Manage Transactions: Efficiently utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to track sales metrics, manage customer profiles, and process transactions accurately.
Qualifications & Skills Needed:
Strong sales aptitude with a proven track record in retail sales, consultative selling, or high-end hospitality (winery experience is a plus, but a passion for driving sales is required). Outgoing, confident, and professional demeanor with the ability to capture an audience and build immediate rapport.
Goal-oriented mindset with the drive to meet or exceed weekly sales.
Ability to learn, retain, and articulately share deep wine knowledge and winery history. Must be 21 years of age or older and available to work weekends and select events.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs. (cases of wine).
Be able to work at both tasting room locations.

Responsibilities:
Greet all visitors to the winery/tasting rooms and pour wines for tasting and enjoyment;Assist with hospitality special events as needed;Represent brand at outside functions as needed;Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of Crescent Moon Winery and its productsAssist in maintaining appearance and cleanliness of all facilities;Create a warm and memorable experience for the guests, building brand loyalty;Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines;Describe wine club options; promote and procure tastings, glass pours, bottle-sales and memberships to customers; (Future as wine club develops)Provide general tourist information;Handle routine sales transactions using Square point of sales system; account for daily sales.
Requirements:
Professional appearance and demeanor;Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;Must be 21-years-old;Must be able to work weeknight events (rarely)and weekends;Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties;Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;Proficient on the computer (familiarity with POS systems desired);Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously;Professional, personable, welcoming, with excellent hospitality and customer service focus;Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm;Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly;Wine related experience helpful, including knowledge of wines and wine production;Excellent oral communication skills.
License:
Must be able to be approved by state of Kansas Alcohol Beverage ControlMust be 21 years or older as this involves the sale of alcohol
