Job Description
As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for handling a combination of inbound and outbound calls while collecting charged off accounts. Establishing an excellent connection with your consumer allows you to positively have an impact on the success of the company. Your enthusiasm for customer service and competitiveness will drive you to success in our fast-paced environment. Job Requirements - Candidates should have the following qualifications:
Preferred: Two years of debt collection, sales, or telemarketing experience.Preferred but not required: Knowledge of the FDCPA and other regulations governing debt collections.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Exceptional negotiation skills and customer service.Experience with Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.High School diploma or equivalent. The Litigation Support Assistant will provide administrative assistance to the Director of Litigation and the Litigation Support Manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate end-user proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as the ability to consistently and accurately complete the following tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality:
Additional tasks may be assigned by the Director of Litigation Management as needed, including but not limited to:
Assist with the processing of Attorney General complaints and other regulatory mattersDraft responses to regulatory complaints for reviewAssist with document production for internal and external audit requestsReview audit documentation in conjunction with ad hoc and annual vendor auditsUpdate legal fee and expense tracker in ExcelUpdate internal databases with consumer demographic informationPull and refine custom reports using Excel and/or AccessRequirements:
Previous third-party collection experience preferred, including knowledge of the FDCPADemonstrated user-proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and TeamsDemonstrated user-proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, including advanced editing toolsThis position requires the candidate to operate within strict confidentiality guidelines, internally and externallyStrong attention to detailOrganizational skillsAbility to manage assigned deliverables to meet strict deadlinesJob Type: Full-time, in-office position
