    Crawford Architects is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Interior Architectural Designer to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of project types and scales while contributing to innovative design solutions that enhance the built environment. The successful candidate will possess strong design and technical skills, a passion for interior architecture, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary design team.

    Working closely with senior designers, project managers, and architects, the Interior Designer will assist in all phases of project development, from concept design through construction documentation, while reflecting Crawford Architects' standards, mission, and commitment to design excellence.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Generate interior architectural concepts and design solutions, including material selections, furniture and equipment planning, finish development, space planning, and special design requirements.Analyze floor plans, building conditions, structural components, and mechanical and electrical systems to develop integrated design solutions.Participate in the development of new and innovative design concepts, techniques, and approaches for interior environments.Collaborate with Senior Designers and Project Leaders on projects of varying size and complexity.Research interior products, materials, furnishings, and finishes and apply established interior design standards and best practices.Independently perform a variety of interior design assignments requiring proficiency in conventional design principles and practices.Prepare and develop technical documents and construction documentation across a range of project types and scales.Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting project schedules and budget requirements.Perform routine quality control reviews, coordination, and verification tasks.Develop visual presentation materials including finish boards, renderings, digital presentations, and other graphic communication tools.Maintain and organize interior design resource libraries and material samples.Prepare architectural plans, 2D drawings, 3D models, renderings, and presentation graphics using industry-standard design software.Communicate complex design ideas visually and contribute to creative problem-solving efforts.Assist with interior architectural design, design development, and project documentation.Support the preparation of client presentations and design reviews.Participate in design competitions, proposals, and marketing pursuits, including written and graphic submissions to prospective clients.Contribute to activities that strengthen Crawford Architects' culture, knowledge base, and professional capabilities.Actively pursue professional development and progress toward interior design licensure and certification.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education: Professional Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program

    Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience working in an architectural or interior design office

    Licensure: Licensure not required. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to pursuing professional licensure and/or NCIDQ certification.

    Necessary Skills: The candidate should have strong skills in verbal and written communication, plus the following additional requirements:

    • Strong understanding of interior architectural design principles, building systems, and construction documentation

    • Proficiency with industry-standard design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

    • Experience preparing architectural drawings, specifications, and presentation materials.

    • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

    • Strong graphic communication and visualization skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

    Crawford Architects is seeking an Architect to join our growing Honolulu office as a Design/Construction Manager. In this role, you will assist in the overall efforts of various project phases, including RFQ/P coordination, developer on-boarding, compliance and documentation. Essential job responsibilities may include the following:

    Location: Applicant must be a resident of the State of Hawai’i

    Technical Skills / Software Capabilities: Candidates should have strong technical skills/proficiency with the following tools:
