CPN Legal is seeking a detail-oriented Reporting & Data Solutions Analyst to join our growing team supporting law firms with financial and operational reporting services. This role focuses on building and maintaining custom Excel-based reports that help law firm owners and managers monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), manage compensation, and make data-driven decisions about their business.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient with data, has strong Excel skills (including macros), and thrives in a collaborative environment where creative problem-solving and process improvement are valued. Primary duties & Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and enhance custom Excel-based reports or other software dashboards from scratch to be used by law firm clients.Develop and maintain Excel macros and formulas to automate reporting processes.Integrate and consolidate data from multiple systems into standardized reporting formats.Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and delivered on schedule.Validate and reconcile data from various financial and operational systems including Quickbooks and Clio.Identify trends, inconsistencies, or anomalies in data and escalate issues when necessary.Support ongoing enhancements to reporting tools and templates.Collaborate with clients and internal team members to understand client reporting needs.Assist with implementing new reporting structures or KPI tracking frameworks.Contribute ideas to improve report usability, automation, and efficiency.Assist with system conversions or implementation projects as needed.Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows.Document processes and maintain clear reporting procedures.Support the development of scalable reporting solutions as the business grows.Create and utilize APIs and data connectors to extract, integrate, and automate the flow of data between systems such as QuickBooks, Clio, or other platformsRecommend and implement improvements to reporting architecture, automation capabilities, and data management processes.
Skills & Competencies

For assigned teams and clients in month-end preparation: create and organize folders through our standard process in FasterSuite monthlyDownload and save bank and credit card statementsDownload and save additional reports, such as payroll and/or Clio reportsEnsure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed prior to Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Team Lead reviewAssemble accurate and timely financial packages for Staff or Senior Accountant reviewEnsure reports are properly saved and organized through our standard processMaintain consistency in file naming and documentation standards to ensure accuracy and consistencyIdentify missing or inconsistent information and escalate issues promptlyClear bank feeds in QuickBooks Online within established timelinesCreate deposits from undeposited fundsReconcile bank and credit card accounts and escalate any challenges to leadershipPerform basic trust accounting tasks, including simple reconciliations and three-way matches timely and on scheduleAssist with 1099 preparation, tracking, and filings supportAssist with collection of vendor information for clients, including W9s throughout the yearSupport client projects and other special projects as neededProvide general administrative and accounting supportSkills
