We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Marine Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine construction, vessel repair, shipyard operations, or marine services and be capable of preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of marine projects.
Responsibilities
Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents. Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations. Analyze project risks and develop pricing strategies. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams. Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and contract reviews. Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records. Support project handoff after contract award. Qualifications
Experience in marine estimating, marine construction, or a related field. Strong knowledge of marine industry practices and terminology. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software. Strong communication and organizational abilities.
