Job Overview
Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Airport is seeking a dependable and skilled Engineer Technician to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, guest rooms, and common areas to ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality experience for our guests.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the overall operations of the hotel.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotelTroubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systemsComplete guest room repairs and maintenance requests in a timely mannerMaintain building systems, equipment, and facilitiesAssist with inspections and safety checksRespond professionally to guest and staff maintenance requestsMaintain accurate maintenance records and work ordersSupport hotel cleanliness, safety, and operational standardsAssist with emergency maintenance situations when neededQualifications
Previous maintenance, engineering, or facilities experience preferredKnowledge of basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift, carry, and move equipment as neededHotel maintenance experience is a plusPreferred Experience
Hospitality engineering experienceHVAC systems and controlsPreventative maintenance programsBuilding operations and safety proceduresExperience with Marriott brand standards is a plusSchedule
