We are seeking a Hotel Guest Service Representative to join our Country Inn & Suites team. This candidate should possess, a Customer friendly attitude, outgoing personality a plus. Must work well with others and communicate well verbally and in writing. Experience using computers in a business setting required. Must be comfortable answering phones and using computer as you will need to multi-task phone communication and computer data input. Able to stand/walk for an 8 hour shift which includes (2) fifteen-minute breaks and a 30-minute meal break, (breaks may be interrupted by phone calls or guests). Able to load, unload washer/dryer and fold laundry when not attending to phone calls or guests. Training on the Property Management System will be done with managers over several weeks before working alone. No previous hotel experience required but previous customer service experience beneficial. Working area and guest service area must be kept clean and sanitized regularly. Minimum high school graduate with competent reading/writing skills.
Responsibilities:
Register and assign rooms to guestsConfirm phone, walk in and online reservationsCreate bookings on PMSRespond to guest needs, requests, and complaintsCollect payment from departing guestsKeep records of occupied rooms and guestsCommunicate pertinent guest information to designated departmentsMonitor and maintain safety of guests using camera system throughout hotel. Monitor fire alarm and respond if needed to alarm.Monitor business desk in lobbyLoad, unload, fold, stack and organize sheets, towels and assorted laundrySolicit or inquire with guests about business or leisure requirements while at the hotelQualifications:

Applicant must have an outgoing personality, have a friendly disposition with willingness to greet guests and enjoy the service industry. Applicant must enjoy early mornings and weekend work. This position starts from 5:30 am to 10:30 am on weekdays and 6:30 to 11:30 weekends. Must be able to lift 15 pounds. Cleaning of all areas of the breakfast serving stations, guest table clean up, restocking of hot and cold items, vacuuming and other clean up required. A uniform top with name tap will be supplied. Tips can be a part of this job with our guests. Additional areas of training to be discussed. May be long term or seasonal.
