Cornerstone Family Practice & Urgent Care is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant for a busy outpatient practice. We are looking for a serious applicant who is professional, patient-centered, organized, and able to think critically in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The role requires someone who understands that a medical assistant is essential to patient flow, clinical support, communication, accuracy, and the overall quality of care. The right candidate must be able to work efficiently, follow through, use sound judgment, and maintain professionalism with patients, staff, and provider at all times.

Responsibilities Room patients efficiently and accuratelyObtain and document vitals, complaints, medication lists, allergies and historiesPrepare patients for examination and assist the provider during visitsPerform clinical tasks within scope, training, and office protocolAdminister injections, perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, and other clinical duties as applicablePrepare and stock exam roomsClean and turn over rooms promptly between patientsDocument accurately in the electronic medical recordProcess refill requests, patient messages, referrals, prior authorizations, and orders as directedCommunicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, pharmacies, labs, and outside officesMaintain infection control, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA complianceHelp support efficient patient flow and identify issues before they become problemQualificationsPrior medical assistant experience strongly preferredCurrent BLS and RMA certification preferredStrong clinical and administrative skillsAbility to multitask and stay organizedStrong communication and patient-service skillsProfessionalism, dependability, and punctuality Ability to follow directions, office workflow, and clinical protocolsStable work history preferredPreferred Qualities:Critical thinker who can recognize issues early and respond appropriatelyStrong sense of accountability and follow-throughCalm, respectful, and professional under pressureAble to prioritize tasks without constant supervisionTeam-orientedTakes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and quality patient careUnderstands importance of both patient safety and office flow
