What You’ll Be Doing:
Create a safe, calm, and loving environment where infants (ages 6 weeks - 1.5 years) can thriveMaintain accurate records for feeding, sleeping, diapering, and attendanceCommunicate frequently and respectfully with children, parents and teammatesImplement an engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom routine that nurtures infant developmentDocument and track each child’s growth in alignment with the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CTELDS)Uphold health, safety, and licensing requirements at all timesStep into other classrooms when needed — we’re all one team!Bring positive and nurturing energy, an open mind, reliability, and compassion into every part of your dayAttend monthly team meetings and contribute to a positive cultureDevelop your ability to observe, assess, and interact with children in a manner that always support their growthDevelop your ability to understand the nuances of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
What We’re Looking For:
You have 2+ years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare centerYou have ability to confidently and calmly manage the needs and safety of 4 infants at onceYou have flexibility to work within the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday–Friday (9 hour day includes 1 hour unpaid lunch)You have flexibility for a work schedule based on the needs of the CenterYou are dependable, punctual, professional and committed to your agreed-upon hoursYou’re receptive to feedback, professional in conduct, and coachableYou act as a team player in all responsibilities, upkeep, and routines of the indoor and outdoor classrooms
