    JOB DETAILS

    Base pay rate is $18.50 per hour

    Day Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, hours may vary depending on operations

    This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The Machine Operator I is responsible for setting up and operating heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations. They must have thorough knowledge of production techniques and the ability to produce quality-building parts.

    KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment.Ability to set-up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality finished or semi-finished parts.Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.Performs routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.Interprets blueprints, specifications, and other technical data to select the correct raw material or semi-finished parts.Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area.May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader.Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

    Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Lifting Capacity – ability to lift up to 30 lbs.Mobility – Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.Exposure – Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.Noise Tolerance – High noise levels.

    Job Description

    1st Shift Hours: 5:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays

    An Operator is one of the key members of our production team. Daily responsibilities include safely operating roll formers, coil slitters, and flat sheet shears. The finished product is quality metal roofing and wall panels.

    Job Description

    Base pay rate is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential

    2nd Shift: 1:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday - Thursday, hours may vary depending on operations

    We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Machine Operator to work in our steel panel production department.  This position is responsible for operating a roll form mill to produce steel panels cut to custom lengths.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, and a team first mindset, take initiative and own their work, while communicating with respect.  

    Essential responsibilities:

    Operating a steel roll form mill, loading & unloading steel coils with a forklift, banding and putting away steel.Know how to properly run the equipment to make panels to specifications.General understanding of how steel panels are used in construction.Learn and cross train on other machines.Inspect finish products for accuracy and consistency.Maintain a clean and organized work space.Follow company safety procedures.Work collaboratively within the team to meet daily production goals.Willing to work with others in supportive areas of the plant.

    Safety:

    We supply safety glasses, cut resistant arm guards, cut resistant gloves, steel toe footwear allowance provided.

    Qualifications

    Must have High School Diploma or GED.Ability to work on your feet for 90% of the day.Ability to lift up to 40 - 50 pounds on a regular basis.Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred but not required.Ability to understand and read schematics.Ability to read a tape measure.Ability to work independently but contribute to team accomplishments.Strong attention to details.Reliable transportation, attendance, & punctuality.
