    About the Role

    Join our Services team as a Valve Technician, where you'll play a critical role in servicing and repairing industrial valves and actuators both in-shop and on-site. You'll collaborate with customers, suppliers, account managers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions.


    Key Responsibilities

    Inspect, repair, and test a wide range of valves: control, safety, relief, gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, and plugService pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuatorsPerform full-cycle valve repair: pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, machining, lapping, painting, assembly, and final inspectionCalibrate and test valves and related instrumentationDocument repair activities including failure analysis, parts used, and corrective actionsSet up and dismantle repair equipment at shop and field locationsProvide technical support and troubleshooting to customersFollow National Board VR/UV program guidelinesComply with site-specific safety protocolsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentParticipate in Safety and Quality program


    Physical Requirements

    Lift up to 44 lbsPerform twisting, turning, and lifting motionsClimb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding (10–30+ feet)Work in varied environments including heat, cold, and clean rooms

    Position Summary 

    The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for the efficient handling, processing, and tracking of all incoming and outgoing goods. This role ensures accurate inventory management, timely deliveries, and a safe, organized warehouse environment. The position works closely with internal teams and external carriers to support operational and customer service goals.

     

    Key Responsibilities 

    Shipping & Order Fulfillment 

    Package, process, and ship all outbound orders in a timely and accurate mannerPull, pack, and verify orders, cross-checking items for accuracy prior to shipmentCoordinate shipments with carriers including UPS, FedEx, LTL providers, and couriersArrange inbound and outbound shipments as requiredMaintain adequate levels of packaging materials and shipping supplies

    Receiving & Inventory Management 

    Receive and process incoming materials, verifying accuracy against packing slipsEnter and post all receipts into the ERP system (IFS, Cedarbay), generating required reportsPlace received inventory into appropriate stock locationsPerform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory recordsProcess returned goods and ensure proper dispositionSupport inventory procedures and continuous improvement of processes

    Systems & Administrative Duties 

    Utilize IFS, CedarBay and Pacejet systems for shipping, receiving, allocation, and inventory transactionsMaintain accurate documentation for all shipping and receiving activitiesUse Microsoft Office applications for reporting, tracking, and communication

    Warehouse Operations 

    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including sweeping, mopping, and general housekeepingFollow all shop safety procedures and company policiesAssist with supply ordering as neededSupport understanding of company structure, products, and operational workflows

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Job Description: Application Specialist – Isolation & Actuation Technologies

    Job Summary

    The Application Specialist supports the sales and technical efforts of the Isolation & Actuation Technologies (I&AT) Business Unit by selecting, sourcing, and quoting valve and actuation solutions. This role enhances customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate support throughout the quote-to-order process, including parts sourcing, order fulfillment, and post-sale support. The specialist works closely with Account Managers (AMs), Application Engineers (AEs), Inside Sales Associates (ISAs), and suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer operational and financial goals.

     

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    Sales & Technical Support

    Provide quotations for valves, actuators, and parts.Assist AM/AE teams in recommending best-fit solutions for customer applications.Transition won orders into the business system (IFS) and support order fulfillment.Source components through appropriate suppliers following correct pricing guidelines.Proactively resolve performance or delivery issues with suppliers.Process Improvement & Internal CollaborationContinuously improve quote-to-order-to-assembly-to-ship processes.Create and maintain standard price lists and quote tools for efficient turnaround.Document opportunities and competitive outcomes in Salesforce.Collaborate with I&AT Manager and team to help develop LMS content for training and development.

     

    Customer & Supplier Communication

    Use effective communication (email, phone, CRM) to manage customer expectations.Escalate and expedite critical orders as needed.Build and maintain relationships with I&AT suppliers and partners.

     

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    Degree in technical field of study or equivalent industry experience.

    2+ years of customer service or technical sales experience preferred.

    Experience in Power, Pulp & Paper, and Chemical industries is a plus.

     

    Technical Skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

    Experience with Salesforce, IFS, or similar business systems.
