    Opportunity:
    The Payroll Specialist at Contract Lumber is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. This role involves maintaining payroll systems, processing paychecks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

    Day to Day:Accurately execute payroll process for all employees, including salaried and hourly workers.Enter timesheet information and employee data into payroll databases.Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with government regulations.Address and resolve payroll discrepancies.Ability to resolve State and Local tax issuesHandle direct deposit requests and data.Process and distribute paper checks.Make adjustments for raises, bonuses, and commissions as needed.Process wage garnishments as required.Work closely with HR and finance teams to gather and process payroll data.Have fun and enjoy what you do!Skill Set:Proficiency in payroll software, Excel, HRIS systems, and timekeeping systems.High level of accuracy in data entry and payroll processing.Strong understanding of BWC policies and procedures in multiple states.Ability to address and resolve payroll-related issues.Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and other departments.Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.Previous experience in multi-state payroll processing.Familiarity with payroll regulations and best practices.A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.Team player with a great attitude!

    The Yard Manager is responsible for the supervision of the yard and oversees all receiving, production and shipping building materials.  This position is responsible for protecting the company’s investment in the facilities, equipment, and inventory.  The Yard Manager is required to perform his/her functions in compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures, as well as with all federal and state regulations. This includes but is not limited to compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Department of Transport (DOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The Yard Manager works under the general direction of the Operations Manager.

    Day to Day

    Communicate clearly and effectively with employees, management, and customers.Works with the Operations Manager to ensure department is staffed appropriately.Works closely with sales team on order issues and resolution.Schedules production.Ensures accuracy in delivery of materials to job sites.Track and monitor inventory status, supply usage, costs, and trends to ensure inventory levels are maintained at established levels.Request stock inventory purchases from Inventory Manager.Works directly with the Human Resources Department regarding employee relation issues (i.e., counseling, progressive discipline, promotion, demotion, termination).Assumes the role of Safety Leader for appointed yard. Performs and assists with compliance training of employees as needed. Ensure equipment, surroundings and yard are following company safety practices; for example, ensuring necessary safety guards are on equipment.Track and monitor inventory status, supply usage, costs, and trends to ensure inventory levels are maintained at established level.Willingness to take on responsibilities, challenges and additional duties as requiredMinimal travel may be required.Have Fun and Enjoy What you do!!

    Required to read Bill of Ladings and Shipping Reports.Maintain consistent communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.Oversee operations to ensure on-time delivery.Ability to manage and motivate load building associates and commercial drivers.Manage all daily operations of an active lumber yard that consists of scheduling inbound and outbound shipments, solving customer service issues, clearly communicating expectations with our associates, and be a valuable partner to the yard manager.Keep management aware of any delays or discrepancies with suppliers or shippers.Track and monitor inventory status and supply usage.Schedule yard transfers as needed.Review vendor invoices for potential discrepancies.Have Fun and enjoy what you do!
