    Job Description

    The Senior Industrialization Engineer – is responsible for industrialization excellence across the IAM organization. This role ensures that new products, technologies, and engineering changes are industrialized and transferred into serial production in a scalable, robust, and cost‑effective manner across multiple manufacturing sites.

    Serving as an SME to manufacturing plants, this position leads complex industrialization initiatives and ensures consistent launch readiness, process capability, and stable production performance. Leveraging deep expertise in hydraulic hose manufacturing processes and product–process interactions, the role drives problem solving, standardization, risk mitigation, continuous improvement, and alignment with global industrialization strategies.

    The position is responsible for the industrialization of products across multiple hydraulic hose plants within IAM, directly influencing the successful execution, industrialization, and continuous improvement of products representing approximately €300 M in annual revenue.

    Location:  ContiTech Fairlawn OH, Open to locations in Norfolk, NE or Mount Pleasant IA. 


    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    Serve as Business Area technical authority for hydraulic hose manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent standards and capability across all sites.Lead end‑to‑end industrialization of new products from design definition through launch and stable serial production.Provide expert guidance on manufacturing technologies, materials, and assembly processes, including escalation and problem‑solving support.Define and optimize processes, equipment concepts, tooling, and layouts to meet safety, quality, cost, scalability, and capability targets.Drive DFM/DFA alignment with Product Development, Quality, Operations, and cross‑functional teams.Provide technical support for engineering changes to ensure controlled, disruption‑free implementation.Lead improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Support structured problem‑solving using Lean and Six Sigma tools (A3, 8D, DMAIC, SPC, MSA).Lead optimization initiatives addressing cycle time, yield, scrap, and cost.Deploy and govern manufacturing best practices and technical standards to ensure consistency and long‑term process robustness.Support PPI Leadership with reviewing post‑launch manufacturing performance to ensure stable serial production and compliance with industrialization standards.Support PPI Leadership with monitoring of KPIs for quality, efficiency, capability, and cost to ensure sustained technical performance.Identify and assess industrialization risks and coordinate mitigation actions with plant teams.Analyze trends and deviations to prevent recurrence and drive proactive improvement.Support PPI Leadership with reporting of of performance, risks, and improvement actions to PPI, Business Area leadership, and Management.Drive implementation and adherence to global product and process standards across locations.Define, maintain, and deploy technical guidelines and best practices in alignment with sector and plant teams.Serve as subject matter expert for hydraulic hose industrialization, providing training, coaching, and technical support to engineers and plant teams.Support introduction of new technologies, materials, and processes through proper validation, documentation, and standardization.

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    Continental - Winchester has a great career opportunity for an Electrical Apprentice. Our mission is to develop a highly skilled position within the Electrical Department.  The Electrical Apprentice will be involved in all aspects of plant mechanical equipment electrical function. The position will report directly to the Electrical Manager. This is a day light position (7 am - 3 pm) on a Monday - Friday schedule. The goal is that after training, education, and testing are completed then the Electrical Apprentice will become a Full-Time Electrician in our plant.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • New equipment installation for projects within a timely manner
    • Troubleshooting and repair of existing equipment
    • Responsible for preventive maintenance for existing equipment
    • Timely response to projects and repair to minimize downtime for equipment and production lines

    THE ENVIRONMENT

    Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures and guidelines must always be adhered to.  Applicants must be able to work in a manufacturing industrial environment and be able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    As an Industrial Electrician you are responsible for new equipment installation for projects within a timely manner

    You will troubleshoot problems for the repair of existing equipmentYou will be responsible for preventive maintenance for existing equipmentWe expect timely response to projects and repair to minimize downtime for equipment and production linesYour shift will be structured on night shift (7pm-7am) on a four on four off schedule with training availability on daylight (7am-7pm) in the first introductory months.

    Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures and guidelines must always be adhered to.  Applicants must be able to work in a manufacturing industrial environment and be able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.

    Qualifications

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

    Completion of a formal technical training program (vocational/college level)Previous industrial electrical experience will be considered in lieu of formal documented technical trainingMust have working knowledge of single and three phase AC systemsMust be able to work in industrial environmentKnowledge of electrical and electronic controls, programmable logic controllers, AC and DC drives, motor controls and instrumentsAble to read and work from schematics and drawingsMust be willing to work nights and overtimeNo relocation assistance or housing assistance is offered for this position.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

    Job Description

    Lead all supply chain activities and processes for the plant/operations unit

    Define the plant supply chain strategy and translate into action plans based on plant/operations unit, BA SCM and Group strategy

    Set plant/operations unit specific SCM standards and requirements towards external and internal contacts and ensure implementation based on BA SCM and Group standards

    Implement and monitor BA and CT specific policies, procedures, and standards for SCM

    Initiate and manage plant/operations unit SCM optimization measurements to improve the efficiency, reliability, and cost situation in cross-functional teams

    Contribute to strategic, budget and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, inventory, SCM costs, capacity and headcount planning)

    Define SCM plant/operation’s unit targets and ensure the achievement under consideration of internal and external customer expectations and contribution

    Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measures

    Initiate and control investments for supply chain equipment (e.g. fork trucks)

    Interface to segment, BA functions to gather local supply chain requirements, demands and other feedback.

    Represent the plant/operations unit towards internal and external contacts regarding SCM topics (i.e. process requirements)

    Initiate, participate in and/or steer local supply chain related and cross-functional projects

    Participate actively in the activities of environmental health and safety

    Lead change management in plant/operations unit SCM

    Ensure compliance in plant/operations unit SCM

    Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development, and coaching
