    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob description:We’re looking for an Commercial Insurance Underwriter who is organized, thrives under the everyday pressures of a busy agency and willing to be a team player. The Commercial Insurance Underwriter will provide critical support to an account manager and the VP of Underwriting and Client Services, ensuring the smooth execution of underwriting strategies, processing incoming submission requests and tasks, and ability to communicate with producers to manage existing and new requests through a rapid clearance process.

    This role requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented professional with a foundation in commercial construction insurance to work in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.

    We’re looking for someone with:✔ Excellent communication and time-management skills✔ The ability to multitask and work well within a team✔ Five years of commercial insurance industry experience Key Responsibilities:
    • Process requests from VP of Underwriting and Client Service, Account Managers, brokers (wholesale and facultative) and internal stakeholders.
    • Coordinate and track business submissions, renewals, endorsements, and reinsurance certificates.
    • Maintain accurate records of broker activity, submission statuses, pending quote status, FAC certificate status, and ongoing follow activities.
    • Handle policy administration tasks, including binding, issuing, and servicing accounts in coordination with underwriting assistants (UWAs) and operations personnel. Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance, underwriting, account management, or client servicing role.
    • Strong understanding of construction risks concepts, including understanding E&S markets. 
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with underwriting systems, preferably Applied Systems
    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing, fast paced team.• Bachelor’s degree preferred; insurance designations (CPCU, ARM, or similar) a plus. This is a full-time, in-office position.     Position Summary


    We are seeking an experienced Liability Complex Claim Director to lead an MGA claims organization. This role combines high-level claims responsibilities with hands-on litigation management across a portfolio of complex, high-exposure liability claims.

    The selected candidate will also supervise a team of claims professionals while maintaining direct involvement in complex files.

    The position is best suited for a seasoned claims or legal professional with a litigation background who is ready to move into a strategic role overseeing claim outcomes, litigation direction, and resolution strategy.

    Key Responsibilities


    Direct handling of a portfolio of complex, litigated liability claimsDevelop and execute litigation and resolution strategy across high-exposure mattersManage defense counsel, experts, and litigation vendorsEvaluate liability, damages, and settlement value; establish and maintain reservesLead negotiations, mediations, and settlement strategyEnsure consistent execution of claim handling standards across assigned caseloadPrepare reporting and recommendations to leadership on significant exposuresContribute to litigation strategy development across the broader portfolioSupport MGA production teamSome travel required (5%)Qualifications
