    Job Summary

    A well-established medical device manufacturing team in Providence, RI is hiring 3 Manufacturing Operator I contractors to support mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly in a regulated environment. This is an entry-level opportunity with training provided and room to grow for reliable, detail-oriented candidates.

    Important: This is assembly-line manufacturing work (not machine operating). Candidates must be comfortable following procedures and written work instructions.

    What You’ll Do

    Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly and sub-assembly using verbal and written instructionsFollow SOPs, GMP, and regulated/quality requirementsComplete visual, in-process, and final inspections (with guidance)Maintain accurate production and assembly documentationSupport inventory/material handling processes as neededKeep a clean and organized workstation to support quality and safetyEscalate issues/concerns to leads or supervisorsCollaborate with manufacturing/engineering teams to support continuous improvement

    Required Qualifications

    What the Ideal Candidate Will Do: 

    Commissions, calibrates, and services new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.Assemble, debug, and adjust the electronic and electro-mechanical portion of machines during the assembly process in the manufacturing department at customer site and company site.Debug controls hardware and software.Provide training on company products to customer representatives.


    Requirements

    Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent; BSEE/BSME preferred but not required.Minimum of 5 years' experience in related field. Automotive/machine tool manufacturing environment required; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.  High level experience of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming abilities. Must be able to read & understand technical drawings and electrical schematics.  Must have control panel building abilities. MRP/ERP experience is a plus.  SAP preferred.Must possess strong communication, math, and computer skills. Must travel 65-75% of the time, sometimes international.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Stockroom Attendant is responsible for daily inventory movements and transactions and overall inventory accuracy within a stockroom.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required:

    Perform daily cycle counts.Move material throughout the factory delivering to or picking up from the production line and other stockrooms or departments as needed.Pull and kit production schedules and backorders.Complete all issue and receipt transactions in the ERP system accurately and in a timely fashion.Assist in the resolution of inventory or transaction issues as needed.Escalate any inventory issues to the production supervisor.Maintain shelf locations in the ERP system to easily locate material.Ensure inventory is stored in a safe manner, in its proper location, and is organized.Other duties as required.


    LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    Employee works under general supervision.Employee has little or no decision-making responsibility.The employee has little or no impact on the decisions of others.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    Ability to count and record inventory quantities.Ability to complete transactions in an ERP system.Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Applications.Must be able to communicate effectively in English.Position does not require any previous experience working with office software.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    No formal educational credentials are required.Zero-1 year Experience in a stockroom setting is helpful.

    Physical Demands/Efforts

    Moderate concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.Must be able to count, record and input inventory quantities accurately.Must be able to read part numbers from production schedules and identify parts based on the part number, description and location.Work occasionally requires some degree of visual effort for periods of time.

    Work Environment and Hazards
