POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the RESTORATION TECH I & II is responsible for performing restoration services including water extraction, mold remediation, structural drying, fire damage cleanup, and general demolition. You’ll be working hands-on in residential and commercial environments to return properties to pre-loss condition. The individual must be available for emergency response work after-hours, holidays and weekends.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Respond to water jobs and initiate water mitigation according to IICRC standards and Dexcore Restoration process
· Communicate with customers about scope of work and review necessary paperwork
· Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, packing customers’ contents, general on-location cleaning, HVAC cleaning, and deodorization of facilities
· Assists with the inventory of site contents, setup of emergency services equipment, preparing contents for storage and lifting items into storage
· Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear
· Operate routinely used tools and equipment
· Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
· Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenance
· Perform work at high elevations such as from a ladder and scaffolding
· Hazardous Waste Operations
· Documenting moisture meter readings of water and mold damaged buildings.
· Maintain all company restoration and cleaning equipment, keeping them clean and properly maintained to be always available
· Must wear PPE as tasks dictate.
· Monitors the grounds for safety hazards and ensures unsafe conditions are promptly to Safety Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: 1+ year of experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred. IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, FSRT) is a plus, but not required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. BA/BS desired or (2) years in construction or restoration/remediation work and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Must be able to communicate (orally and written) in English, in a professional manner on a regular basis with prospective clients, staff, management and co-workers within the company as well as with outside vendors. Follows instructions and responds well to management’s direction. Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Accepts constructive criticism and uses it as a learning tool.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of how to operate an iPhone and navigate through a web browser.
Certificates and Licenses: Must have valid CA driver's license and automobile insurance coverage at the level required by law. Active IICRC certifications, OSHA certified is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
