Role Description: Concrete Ready Mix, Inc. is an established ready-mix concrete manufacturer serving the Bay Area (since 1983).
This role exists to relieve pressure on our existing team, improve accuracy + speed, and bring confidence to our financial operations.
We’re looking for a highly competent, detail-oriented accounting professional to take ownership of Accounts Receivable and Collections while supporting broader accounting operations as needed. We prefer someone interested in a long-term role who wants to become a trusted part of our company.
This Role IS – a senior, hands-on accounting operations role in a small business environment. It’s a position of trust and ownership. The environment is fast-moving and operationally driven. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and comfortable balancing accounting responsibilities with real-world operational demands.
While the primary focus is on AR / accounting, the ideal candidate is cross-functional and comfortable supporting AP, payroll, and other accounting/office functions when needed.
This Role IS NOT – an entry-level role, nor a narrow, corporate, siloed position.

Core Responsibilities:
Own Accounts Receivable from invoicing through collectionsPerform collection calls, follow-ups, and escalations when neededManage customer credit limits, terms, and agingHandle pre-liens + liens + lien releases when requiredProcess weekly payroll w/ strong attention to detail + accuracySupport month-end close w/ journal entries + reconciliationsMaintain accuracy across Sage 100 Contractor and related systemsCoordinate closely with dispatch, AP, and ownership
Job Requirements:
5+ years in AR / Accounting / Bookkeeping rolesDegree in AccountingConstruction, trades, or contractor experience strongly preferredPublic works, prevailing wage payroll experience (is a strong plus)Sage 100 Contractor experience highly preferredProven ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracyStrong organizational + follow-up skillsEnglish required (Spanish is a strong plus)Ability to work 5 days/week, 40 hours/week on-site (no remote work)
