    Production Specialist Summary:

    The Production Specialist works safely on the production line to process and package food that meets food safety and quality requirements. You will report to the Team Leader Production. This position is onsite at the North Mankato, MN Facility.

    Responsibilities:Maintain a clean and organized production area to promote a safe work environmentMaintain and demonstrate a thoughtful understanding of processing specifications for varying products and materialsInspect and remove defective product from the production and packaging linePerform sanitation tasks to clean and sanitize all production equipmentIdentify and setup correct raw materials, recipes and utensils associated with each product.Complete exact measurements per recipe to ensure gold standard is met.Operate multiple electric kettles, simultaneously.Remove popped corn form kettles and dispense into bins.Assemble corrugate items into cases or displays, package bags and palletize finished product to match specificationOperate pallet jack and electric pallet wrapperTravel & Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.     Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will develop and implement overall plant technical strategies focused on engineering projects, maintenance and stores improvement programs. Develop vertical startup processes to ensure implementation of low loss production systems. Provide solutions to technical problems and recommendations for improvements in production activities, and manage the plant technical organization. Develop and lead plant specific engineering and maintenance strategies to achieve performance goals. Manage all plant technical expense budgets and work with Corporate Engineering to deliver the capital budget.
    You Will: Assist Plant in establishing safety of all of our team members as the plant's first objective. Lead the development of the capital plan including the engagement of related Plant and Corporate functions such as Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Environmental, Operations, Maintenance, Finance and Operations Collaborate with the Plant in setting delineated roles, responsibilities and accountabilities consistent with the principles of CPS (CI). Foster a team-based methodology. Support the Plant in driving business literacy through education of our business issues and concepts. Work with Platform Engineering Director to resource projects including Engineering Project Manager, Subject Matter Expert and Start-up Manager roles. Assist Plant in delivering financial goals. Support the Plant in conducting internal systems audits. Support the Plant in providing direction and lead the EM Pillar Team in the development of long- and short-term plans and goals for the Plant. Support the Plant in providing project and technical support to the plant and division. Support the Plant in participating on and leading project teams that improve safety, quality, use, labor relations, sanitation, costs and customer service. Demonstrate ability to use available application computer programs. Lead the Plant in conducting team meetings for proper communications and development of teams. Must also work with Maintenance, Quality, Production and Warehouse teams to create a cooperative environment. Give work direction and coordinating mechanical and clerical activities in the maintenance department. You Have: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required Five years experience in Food Manufacturing Project Management experience Experience managing multi-million dollar capital projects Experience managing teams Leadership skills to work as a peer and advisor to other departments Ability to rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays when required

    Compensation:

    Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000
    The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.     The Maintenance Technician role at Conagra performs all corrective and preventive maintenance as scheduled. This position is onsite in St. Elmo, Illinois, and reports to the Maintenance department leaders.     You Will: Be committed to producing safe, quality food. Ensure efficient operation of all production lines including mechanical and electrical services. You will perform all work conforming to Conagra, state and local standards and codes. Perform the following responsibilities: electrical troubleshooting, parts manufacture, and proper operation of shop equipment. Follow all Safety and Good Manufacturing Policies. Provide operator training in safety, set-up, changeover, and Operator Asset Care. Support construction-type work involving the removal or installation of equipment. You Have: Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics General knowledge of advanced electronic controls including VFD drives, Start/Stop, starters, and contactors. Proximity switches, RTD's, and PT's/ Basic electronic troubleshooting Troubleshoot single and three-phase motors. Repair Pneumatic cylinders and flow control components.     A Night in the Life of a Sanitation Technician:

    This is a seasonal, midnight shift position, regular hours 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. with weekend overtime demand. You will receive the base pay of $18.50/hour + $.40 shift differential. You will report to the Sanitation Crew Lead and Team Lead. Your shift will consist of the industrial cleaning of the production areas. The season runs April to December. As we are a unionized facility, you will obtain seniority after 30 days and have recall rights each year. If you decide to grow your career, there is a path to advancement including regular job opportunities.

    You will work in a wet working environment and will be provided appropriate protective gear to include, hard hat, face shield, chemical gloves, rain gear, safety/rain boot.

    What will you do:

    The Sanitation Technician properly sanitizes assigned areas.

    High School Graduate or GED with prior maintenance experience in a production environment with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding ability. This position reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager. Must understand:Drive train- Belts, pulleys, sprockets, and chain drives.Basic electrical- 110 single phase and 480 & 230 v 3 phase.PLC operationMotor controlFabrication- welding, grinding. and assembly,Hydraulic- motors, pumps, and valves.Pneumatics- air valves and controls.Follow all safety, GMP's, and USDA guidelinesCan work overtime and weekends.Complete required paperwork daily per Quality guidelinesUnderstand, use and update shop prints, specifications and refer to the manufacturer manual for servicing and installation of equipment and distribution systems.Determine workforce and material requirements, means and methods to be used in accomplishing work assignments and recommend changes.Prepare, paint surfaces and maintain cleanliness of work areas.Use tools and test equipment of the trade.Maintain spare parts inventory and orders parts.Coordinate with Maintenance management when locking and tagging systems.Perform related responsibilities as assigned.Observe safety requirements.Observe and assist outside contractors for compliance with ConAgra standards.Train new hires/transfers regarding proper maintenance and safety practices.Follow all GMP's and USDA guidelines.Complete required paperwork daily per Quality guidelines

    Essential duties (not all inclusive):Provide daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production and auxiliary equipment, including forklifts, pressure washer, rooftop units, heating and cooling units according to our policySupport the installation of company machines and equipmentProvide technical and problem-solving support for the Operations staffWork with contractors and supplies for advice on maintenance related issuesCoordinate maintenance tasks around production needs as best as possibleComply with all safety policies.
