The RN Nurse Consultant provides expert nursing consultation and clinical assessments primarily within long-term care facilities. This role focuses on enhancing compliance, quality improvement, and policy development through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, while offering advisory services without direct patient care. The consultant will frequently travel and work alongside medium-sized teams to support nursing staff and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
Conduct clinical assessments and nursing consultations in long-term care settingsMonitor compliance with healthcare regulations and standardsDevelop and review policies to support clinical best practicesProvide staff training to improve clinical skills and compliance awarenessCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality improvement initiativesReview clinical documentation for accuracy and completenessAdvise management on care planning and clinical operationsSupport effective communication and problem-solving within teams
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Preferred Qualifications
