    Working as an Operations Controller you will be responsible for the accounting activity within an assigned account(s) and assisting the Regional Director of Finance with all aspects of the financial activities that occur within the region.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Oversees all cash handling proceduresPerforms reconciliation and analysis for several balance sheet accountsAnalyzes financial results for both internal and external useTracks and maintains monthly P/L and balance sheet activityDevelops forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunitiesReviews general ledger and balance sheetsResolves various accounting/reconciliation issuesCompletes financial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting; manages report preparation and distributionMaintains inventory and cost control proceduresPerforms administration of Payroll and Human ResourcesPerforms related duties and special projects as assigned

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent professional experienceA minimum of five years’ experience with revenue control, financial reporting and cash handling responsibilitiesAccounting experience in foodservice or retail industry required, foodservice operations experience a plusAbility to prepare monthly financial statements, key metric reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and analysesAdept at planning, organizing and controlling complex processes as well as analyzing moderately complex financial informationExperience with POS, cash and credit card reportsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSkilled at managing multiple priorities and relationshipsComputer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in ExcelStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentConformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior

    Job Summary

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Support the ongoing design and implementation of the Internal Controls framework.

    · Perform day-day execution and first level review of 2LOD activities such as controls testing, monitoring, tracking action items, etc.

    · Ensure business processes have appropriate controls to optimally manage risks, assisting with the execution of risk assessments where necessary.

    · Provide ongoing support and review to control owners as they document and operate Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs).

    · Collaborate with process and controls owners to obtain process understanding, documenting the process flows and/or procedure documents.

    · Evaluate control deficiencies and oversee remediation of those deficiencies.

    · Identify and document leading practice controls which can be published across the organization. Develop guidance to support the organization with control compliance, such as evidence maintenance, job aids, etc.

    · Partner with business teams on cross-departmental projects to improve the overall control environment.

    · Stay up to date on internal and external changes that may impact the design or operation of controls and partner with the appropriate stakeholders to make changes accordingly.

    · Support training initiatives across the organization to improve awareness and understanding of internal control requirements.

    · Partner with both internal and external audit teams to facilitate streamlined and effective audit processes, as necessary.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    · Technically competent and confident in reviewing and identifying improvements in the design and operation of internal controls.

    · Strong analytical skills, with strong risk awareness and understanding of processes and controls.

    · Confident stakeholder management, communication, and able to build relationships.

    · Excellent planning, coordination and organization skills and managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.

    · Previous experience working in Finance Control, Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk Assurance, and/or Controls Assurance.

    · Strong knowledge of Internal Auditing Standards, PCAOB Standards, and COSO, etc.

    Process Optimization & Governance Support

    Evaluate existing threat reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.Partner with Security, HR, Legal, Operations, and IT to improve cross-functional data flow.Support governance initiatives by strengthening data controls and auditability of security systems.Build business cases using data to support changes in security policies, investments, and facility protection strategies.

    Continuous Improvement & Innovation

    Stay current on emerging technologies in physical security analytics, AI-based threat detection, and risk modeling.Recommend enhancements to improve proactive threat detection capabilities.Support crisis response data needs during major security events.Qualifications:

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field.Advanced degree or security certification (CPP, PSP, PCI, etc.) preferred.

    Technical Skills
