    The Community Health Centers is known throughout Vermont for providing compassionate, affordable, quality health care to all who need it regardless of financial status or life circumstance.

    Community Health Centers is seeking a Rostered Clinical Social Worker/ Clinical Mental Health Counselor to provide outpatient psychotherapy at our Riverside location. This position will provide additional support for our patients who would benefit from more traditional psychotherapy services. Will be responsible for conducting assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy for patients with mental health and/or substance use disorders and will connect patients with case management or other supports to access benefits, transportation, and other resources as needed.

    Basic Qualifications

    Graduated with a Master's Degree from a graduate school of social work accredited by CSWE or in counseling psychology from a graduate school accredited by CACREP.Experience in the mental health field/social work preferred, but not mandatory.Experience in a medical setting a plus.Interest in behavioral medicine, approaches, CBT/DBT, or addiction treatment a plus.Clinical experience including entry level diagnostic, assessment, and counseling skills required, as evidenced through applicable internship in the Master's program.Be actively registered on the State of Vermont, Office of Professional Regulation Allied Mental Health Roster of Non-licensed, Non-Certified Psychotherapists.Must obtain licensure within 3 years from date of hire and no later.Must be CPR certified or be willing to be certified.


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Knowledge of and ability to utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, current behavioral medicine approaches, and other evidence-based approaches.Understanding of mind/body and biopsychosocial implications of health.Experience with addictions assessment and treatmentKnowledge of principles, standards, and ethics of Social Work/Psychotherapy/Clinical Mental Health Counseling.Knowledge of transference and countertransference; Can handle countertransference reactions during stressful work situations.Strong diagnosis and assessment skills, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention skillsKnowledge of mental health and substance use laws and regulations.Strong written and verbal skills..

    The Community Health Centers of Burlington is hiring a Dental Triage Scheduling Assistant to join the team at our Riverside Health Center location!

    Under general supervision of the Dental Practice Manager this individual is responsible for the organization, management, and scheduling of dental patient services. The Dental Triage Scheduling Assistant shall be responsible for the overall activities of the dental schedule. They will be responsible for insuring the compliance of all CHCB policies and clinical protocol. They must carry out assigned departmental tasks related to dental patient care appointments.


    Education and Experience:

    High School diploma or GED Knowledge of dental office procedures preferred but not required


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Effective oral and written communication skills are requiredAbility to attend to multiple tasks at the same time and to prioritize assignments and responsibilities to ensure compliance with established deadlines and protocolsAbility to triage patients to assess their dental needsAbility to obtain a comprehensive knowledge of dental clinical protocols and daily operations of scheduling, treatment plans, recare, and emergent care appointments.Cognizant of the expectations and concerns of the Health Center's dental patient's and be able to respond in an empathetic mannerKnowledge of dental software is helpful but not required

    Under direct supervision of the Dental Services Supervisor, the Sterilization Assistant is responsible for assisting the Clinical staff in the direct provision of sterilization needs and services to Dental Dept. Additionally, the Sterilization Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist in the direct provision of dental care and services to patients of CHC as described in the Traditional Dental Assistant Job Description. Demonstrates and applies understanding of the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines.


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


    Education & Experience:

    High school diploma or GEDCompletion of accredited dental radiology courseCompletion of American Dental Association Accredited Dental assisting course or 1 year experience with on-the-job training
