    Location: Savannah, GA
    Salary: Starting at $85,000 (commensurate with experience)

    Duration: 9–12 Month Project Assignment

     

    This is a full-time, project-based position expected to last approximately 9–12 months. We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee a commercial construction project in the Savannah, Georgia area. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of successfully leading commercial projects from groundbreaking through completion.


    This position is for candidates currently living in the Savannah, GA area only.
    Applicants outside the Savannah area will not be considered.
    Relocation assistance is not available.


    Position Summary

    The Senior Superintendent serves as the on-site leader for commercial construction projects, coordinating subcontractors, managing project schedules, enforcing safety requirements, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual works closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and field personnel while providing strong leadership and mentorship on the jobsite.


    Responsibilities

    ·       Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from mobilization through closeout.

    ·       Lead daily field operations while maintaining project schedule and quality standards.

    ·       Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

    ·       Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules.

    ·       Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.

    ·       Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

    ·       Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and daily planning meetings.

    ·       Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

    ·       Coordinate inspections with local municipalities and third-party inspectors.

    ·       Identify and proactively resolve construction issues before they impact schedule or budget.

    ·       Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to monitor project progress, manpower, and costs.

    ·       Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress photos.

    ·       Manage project punch lists and ensure timely completion of all closeout activities.

    ·       Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners.

    ·       Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff while promoting a positive team culture.


    Qualifications

    ·       10+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience required.

    ·       Experience managing commercial projects valued from $5 million+ preferred.

    ·       Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and building systems.

    ·       Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

    ·       Excellent leadership and communication skills.

    ·       Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining project schedules.

    ·       Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

    ·       Experience with project management software such as Procore preferred.

    ·       Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    ·       OSHA 30 certification preferred.

    ·       Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

    The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a critical role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.     Minimum of 5+ years of construction experience, with demonstrated experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.Previous supervisory experience leading subcontractors, field personnel, and construction teams required.Strong understanding of construction operations, sequencing, scheduling, and project coordination.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods while performing field responsibilities.Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Experience with construction management software preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
