    Job Title: Production Associate

    Shift: This is a 2nd shift position (Mon-Fri 2:30pm-10:30pm) with training on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks (Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30pm)

    This position is responsible for performing light secondary work such as cleaning & washing parts, deburring, buffing, TFE and simple machining. Responsible for ensuring these processes are executed efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work under the general direction of the department supervisor with a minimum of supervision.
    • Perform light secondary deburring, washing, cleaning, grinding and straightening of parts.
    • Perform drilling, cutting, tapping, buffing, press work and simple machining.
    • Run machinery following all processes and procedures, including soap/detergent usage, coating mixtures, oven temperatures, cure times, waste cleanup and more.
    • Transfer material and parts from one location to another, including loading parts into machinery properly.
    • Work from blueprints and other technical documents.
    • Check finished items for quality.
    • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
    • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Includes removal of any foreign matter.
    • Report defective material, any unusual condition or circumstance to supervisor.
    • Follow standard practices and procedures as outlined by company policy.
    • Perform all other duties as directed or required.

    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • One to three years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must have reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts.
    • Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as: micrometers and calipers preferred

    ADDITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

    • This position works as both an individual contributor and in a team environment
    • This position required the ability to lift 25-55 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly.
    • This position may require standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours per day

    Position Requirements:

    The education, experience, skills and training required of the employee for this position are as follows:
    ̈ AAS degree in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality Inspection.
    ̈ Self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision.
    ̈ Familiar with validation and calibration requirements within the medical device manufacturing environment.
    ̈ Computer competency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, ERP systems EQMS (Compliant Pro), and Calibration databases.
    ̈ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
